Advice for holster CC for Colt Mustang

I would trust the safety and carry it in a KyTac holster that is molded to engage the safety, keeping it in the "on" position.

Pancho,I know Bianchi makes several holsters for the Mustang.
For a few weeks I carried my Mustang PocketLite in a borrowed IWB holster that was made for the Mustang.
I found the set up uncomfortable because of the rather sharp beavertail spur kept goughing me in the side.
But more than that I carried the little pistol cocked with the safety on and found one day that somehow or another the safety had been pushed off to fire mode.
That scared me so bad I have never carried the pistol like that again.
If the Mustang had a grip safety like the 1911 that would have been no big deal but it does not so when the hammer is cocked the trigger action is very light on my Mustang and that could have been diasterous for me.
For what ever reason the Colt owners manual does not recommend carrying the Mustang chambered with the hammer down.
And even if that was safe dropping the hammer down on a chambered round could cause the pistol to discharge.
Time for some of our more experienced carry hands to speak up on this issue.

Condition One, cocked and locked, ONLY. Do not depend upon any other way. If that hammer gets snagged and then it drops. Well....you get DaBloody idea!

From my experience your last sentence is correct.
I dont carry mine any longer.

I carried mine for years, locked and cocked in a Don Hume JIT holster. Very compact, very comfortable, and affordable, around $25. Most of the gun shows around here sell them or you can pock them up off of ebay. I have also used the Uncle Mike's Inside the pants holster, but never found this as comfortable as the JIT hip holster.
I have put the Colt Mustang away to the safe, but carry it's near clone, the SIG P238 in a JIT as well.
Note, they are not the same JIT model. Sig slide just a little different.

Is that Don Hume an IWB or a OWB holster??
Ever had any issues with the safety being disengeged as I spoke of in my earlier post?

The Don Hume is an OWB. No problems with safety. It doesn't cover or get near it. So unless your body is going to disengage it.
