I'm interested in a scope that is Mil Dot, 3x9 and around $150. I'm on my 10 waiting period for a 700 ADL 30-06. I'm planning on hunting at closer ranges, 100 yard target shooting, and an annual 300+ yard shooting fest. I plan on keeping a journal on every shot, and I understand the value of a Mil Dot for training.
I'm having trouble finding a nice scope in my wallet's ballpark. I'm contemplating a Mueller APT with Mil Dot and nice adjustable controls, but its not offered in 3x9. The Bushnell elite 3200's in my price range have a crappy multiplex reticle. I'm not seeing any good Nikons that fit the bill. I kind of like the redfield accutrak ballistic reticle but its still not Mil Dot.
Also I'm already killing my bank account, so I'm thinking about going with redfield 2 piece base and standard rings. I understand the EGW with Burris Extreme rings are nice... those rings have a ton of screws to keep things tight and level.
