Am in the market for a new pistol for ccw, range, fun. Prefer to look towards compact over sub-compact. My question is, what mfgr's make a pistol that supports interchangable 40 / 357 sig platform? I like the idea of two calibers with one familiar grip & trigger. Any advice would be nice, thanks.

Glocks are some of the most modular guns you can get, with an incredible amount of aftermarket stuff to do practically everything you can imagine, except make breakfast in the morning and load it's own ammo.

My Smith and Wesson M&P 40's have 357 Sig conversion barrels. All I have to swap is the barrel and the rest fits including the magazines. Storm lake makes awesome conversion barrels btw.

I purchased a drop in 9mm barrel for my XD40sc from EFK Fire Dragon. I believe they make them for the .357 SIG as well. Check them out, they do Glocks too.

glock and sig are VERY simple and straight forward. XD is not a drop-in and requires fitting and minor smithing which may be a problem for some.

Get ya a Glock 10mm...converts into a .357 sig and a .40...then ya get 3 calibers!
if you got a 10mm as mentioned, you could get the compensated version and then by non compensated barrels for 6 different shooting configurations.

M&P40 or M&P357. The barrels interchange and they use the same mags. Get a Storm Lake 9mm conversion barrel and a 9mm mag and you will have a "three in one" package.

Including a carbine top for your lower!

Those are so awesome, I really want one. They also have kits that convert them into sub guns, but you still have to jump through the bureaucratic hoops and get the tax stamp.
