So I'm sure he plans to limit his officers to 10 round mags just like the proletariat. After all, since they're so well trained, they don't need any more than 10 shots.

So... does he advocate a ban on double stack guns like Glock, M&P, and XD? This is asinine. Maybe they will have to make mag plugs like we use for duck hunting. That way self defense would be much more sporting and BGs would have a better chance. Deep skull eye roll!

Dear sirs, I recently read where you three gentlemen are in favor of gun control via "reasonable laws" such as limiting the average citizen to 10rd magazines. Are you then going to limit your officers to 10rd mags to defend themselves in a situation? I think not. So why do you think it is reasonable to say to the average law abiding citizen, you have 10rds in your mag, so if you are attacked in the street or in your home make them count? This is a ridiculous approach to take. How about tougher sentencing on criminals? How about going after the few bad guys instead of punishing the masses of law abiding citizens? You are all on the wrong track here and as a tax payer who pays local law enforcement salaries, if my local Chief or Sheriff supported this type of ignorant law they would lose my support without hesitation. If you think someone is unable to commit a crime or kill an officer because you took away his "high cap mags you are not thinking clearly. The criminal does not care you made it illegal to have these mags and will still have them. The only people you will limit is the law abiding citizen that follows the law. I find it ridiculous that I have to explain this to a person in charge of making the streets safe. I urge you to rethink your support for these bogus laws that don't help, before it costs you the support of the people in your communities that believe as I do.

Anybody catch the comment from "protect minnesota" spokesperson Heather's comment about the illegal gun that was used in a crime was obtained by a teen-ager who did the shooting ?? Although he would have found a gun somehow,we still feel that stricter gun-laws would make it harder for him to get a gun,,,, WRONG !! he was a teenager with gang-ties ,, how would a stricter law stop criminals ?? i dont get what is wrong with these people !! I'll be burning up my keyboard today sending MORE letters to the appropriate people,,,

I do not support the 10 magazine issue.. The day we had our press conference it was about making sure people who buy guns go through a back ground check. I don't think criminals and folks with mental illness that impairs their judgement should be allowed to own guns.

I am not sure how my name became mixed up with the new movement to limit the number of rounds in a handgun. Tough to enforce and I don't think needed.
