Rossi Wizard AOW

Would it be possible to fit the shotgun barrels on the Rossi Wizard Pistol? I was curious if the long gun Wizard barrels fit the handgun receiver without any sort of modification. I thought the Rossi Wizard Handgun with a cut down Rossi Wizard shotgun barrel would make a fun NFA any other weapon.

If I had the Rossi Wizard modified through the NFA process to be an AOW, could I still use say a 22 LR handgun length barrel on it?

Are there any ideas if this would work well, or would the Thompson Center Contender/Encore handgun platform be an easier handgun receiver to AOW or even SBR for multiple barrels? Thanks

I would like to know if the barrel nut/screw on the front is in the same location on the pistol barrels and the shotgun barrels. If they are, then it would be easy to slip a shotgun barrel on a pistol receiver without an modifications to the pistol forearm.

The Wizard is a lot cheaper than the Thompson Center Encore and the barrels are cheaper too than the Encore barrels. The idea of cutting down a 300 dollar Encore shotgun barrel is not too appealing to make an AOW or SBS. Wizard shotgun barrels are going in the 150 dollar range.

I thought that if you used a pistol grip receiver that never had a stock on it, like the Mossberg pistol grip shotguns bought that way from the factory, then you could make an Any Other Weapon. The Any Other Weapon you could never put a stock on it. This was what I was interested in doing with the handgun Wizard.

Also, wanted to find out if the Wizard Shotgun barrels would fit the Wizard Handgun Receiver without any modification...of course before doing so I would make the Wizard Handgun Receiver an AOW with the ATF paperwork and Stamp.

I know this is possible with firearms like the Thompson Contender/Encore handguns to easily make either an AOW or a SBR or SBS should you choose but those suckers are EXPENSIVE for knock around guns! I cringe at the idea of cutting down an encore shotgun barrel to put it on a Contender handgun receiver to make it an AOW.

My idea has been to basically build a firearm similar to the old AOW H&R handy gun using maybe the shortened Wizard 28 gauge shotgun barrel mated on a Wizard Pistol Receiver....thus making it an AOW not a SBS...just the catch is will the Wizard shotgun barrel fit on the Wizard Pistol Receiver easily on and off as they claim it is a switch barrel?

If i lived in a more restrictive state (I am in TN where we can own anything with proper stamps) where SBS's were not allowed an AOW would be good or if I made it and later sold it, the 5 dollar tax would possibly make the gun easier to sell.

Thompson Center Encores/Contender are a cool platform on a side note would be great to SBR and possibly suppress! They are generally so accurate and give you lots of options. A SBR Encore with a somewhat long handgun barrel would make a great brush rifle for deer/hog hunting. Add a suppressor and man how awesome would that be.
