So how do you carry speedloaders for your CCW revolver? Looking for a way to inconspiuously carry a speedloader or two.
Currently using speedstrips but would prefer speedloaders.

I carry mine in Blade-Tek double and single holders. I can't say as they are especially "inconspicuous" but my cover garment shields them nicely and even if they are exposed, very few people -- even many gunnies -- have any clue what they're looking at.

I toss one or two in my weak side front pocket, and a speed strip in my back pocket.

I would use the Safariland belt rig...

As far as the speed loaders themselves... NOTHING BUT SAFARILAND.. I would avoid Dade loaders.. I carried them for years, but the spring detention system they use are not good for anything but carry in a solid plastic duty type holder.. Bullets easily dislodge..

I dislike the ones with the aluminum twist knob.. Not a natural motion to change directions, ( Indicate, push then twist..)

The Safariland Loaders have a much more positive retention system, a bit harder to charge the loader, but lighting fast on the release, and you can drop them, throw them and they will still hang onto rounds... They release with a bit of spring assist when the center of the loader make contact with the cylinder locking lug, they tend to throw the rounds into the cylinder..All one smooth motion, indicate shove, close n shoot.. Actually shoving the rounds into position with the palm of your hand after properly indicated.. I have seen many a practiced shooter out run a Semi-Auto in the reload stage..

We used to recommend Safariland Speed Loaders to our cadets in the days before we let them start out with semi-autos.. because you could actually toss one to your partner in an out of ammo situation.. They are about all you will find in use at PPC Revolver matches.. (the street version has little or no "Grab Handle" and the Comp Versions have a high knob on the top, too big for CCW...IMHO..

I have always used the HKS loaders, for the simple reason that they are available for more calibers/guns than the Safariland ones. Ever try to find a Safariland speedloader for a S&W M25-5 .45 Colt? Does not exist. Don't want to train with two types to go with different guns, so I stick with HKS.

Yes. I shoot .44 Spc/Mag almost exclusively in wheelguns and Safariland only makes the very regrettable "Comp I" version to fit a .44. While the Comp IIs are decent and the Comp IIIs are like teleporting ammo from your belt directly into the cylinder, the Comp Is are so worthless as to be slightly less advantageous than .... well, take three rounds and epoxy them into the speedloader permanently, then take two rounds, throw one into the bushes and drop another into your shoe, then take the last round and wedge it into one cylinder half-sideways. But really, it's not that good.

So yes, I use HKSs exclusively.
