Well folks I got lucky last saturday, I was doing my saturday visits to our local gunshops and law and behold there it is an LC9 sitting right in the display case!, so i ask one of the guys if I can see it and then asked if I can trade my LCP which i was carrying that day(only shot 100 rounds) he looked in his case and they are out of LCP's so long story short I am now carrying an LC9. I liked the LCP but 9mm is a lot cheaper to shoot and gives me a little more punch and an extra round. the price tag was $340,I added $100 to seal the trade. I shot 100 rounds today and i'm glad i did the trade, lock back on the last round, better sights, not too heavy compared to the LCP and I can actually afford to shoot it a lot! anyway here is a video to show that recoil is just like any other small 9mm and ofcourse some pics too..

I carry it using a IWB holster strong side, its pretty close to an LCP weight wise..recoil is very manageable..

you said pretty close to weight, but how much bigger in size? I have been looking for one and can't find it anywhere.
It's significantly bigger than the LCP and even larger than the PM9. Too big for my pockets.

Here it is compared to the PM9.

interesting! They both look like very nice guns. Nice buy on the LC9. I have never had a Kahr but it looks like I may be looking at them in the near future.

Kel Tec sure did design a great light weight single stack 9 mm pistol for Ruger to copy!

At least Ruger was smart enough to leave off that goofy rail -- hanging stuff off a sub compact makes even less sense that hanging crap off a full sized gun.

Seems about the same size as the Kahr CW9 and in the same ballpark price wise, Kahr has recently introduced a the economy model of the PM9 called the CM9 and its significantly cheaper than the PM9 and doesn't give up much.

Is that a plastic trigger on the LC9?

Just a little too large for my pockets,,, but inice small 9mm for holster carry or IW

For pocket carry , I have been thinking about the Kahr CM9, that is now available. That said , the keltec PF9 got an "A" rating on reliability from Gun Test magazine.

My wife liked the gun until she shot it.

I expected more recoil but it wasn't punishing as my LCR with REM +P ammo.

You could tell you were shooting something slim though.

I just use a uncle mikes IWB and loaded it with Hornandy TAP 124gr FPD. I like the cocked and lock safety too..

Maybe Ruger will copy the PMR-30. Then I could actually buy one...........
So you will give your money to the company that copies it but not the company that developed it?

KelTec has always had excellent customer support and was the first company to produce a true pocket sized pistol that everyone could afford.

That was tongue in cheek, a little poke at KT for introducing wicked new products that take FOREVER to hit dealer shelves. I love my KT's, love the company, and I recommend them at every opportunity.

As for Ruger..............after their insolent treatment when I called for a replacement parts (that followed multiple transfers and too much hold time), I will never buy another Ruger product. NEVER.

Ok but I need a :) so I know your kidding.:)

Ruger LC9

I traded my Taurus TCP in on a Ruger LC9 last Saturday.
I use the Uncle Mike's sidekick size zero on the LC9 and my .38 LCR with a "long shirt tail".
I was carrying in a 5.11 vest, but now it is getting too hot for it.
I hope to shoot them both this week.
