AR Flat Top Scope Mount Options

Burris AR P.E.P.R. is a great choice in the affordable range. It is available in a quick release for under $100. I have 2 of the fixed mount versions.

In the next price bracket you have American Defense Manufacturing. They make several models with different degrees of forward offset to account for various sized scopes and different needs with regard to eye relief. If you're military or LE, I know of a site with a fantastic discount on these. I have two of these also.

Next price level above that is Larue. They also have several different models. I personally don't see what you get for the extra money, especially considering the discount mentioned above.

The top of the line, price wise, is BOBRO. Again, don't see what the big deal is and they are spendy.

I put the RRA one piece mount on my Mark AR.

It sure is.....I ran one on my M&P15 with a Millet DMS-1 at one time (later replaced by an ACOG).

I'm using the Barska ar optic. i spent something around 100$ for it and i love it

There is also the Nikon M223 mount with 20moa built in if you are looking to do some long range work.

I don't really know.My buddy at gunshop recommended it. It was my 1st scope and mount. I just looked at it and it just says" RRA 1" " on it. What's the difference?

Do a search for " AR-15 one piece mounts" on yahoo or Google. The sight I saw had just about everything you can think of with prices from cheap cheap to some they were really proud of. The thing I liked about the sight was the reviews from either the sight Guru or users. Found the sight!! Just click on the link for one piece mounts.

I have my Mark AR mounted in a Larue. It will hold its zero when I remove and re-install.

You can search around and then buy a Larue or save some time and just buy the Larue.

The Larues really are worth every penny.

It feels like my scope is welded to the top of my SPR. Very solid, and they hold zero very well when you remove and reinstall them..

I haven't shot it since last year. But with my SOPMOD stock I didn't think it was too high.

This is something I see / hear quite a bit with first time AR optic users. Keep in mind that there is no drop at the comb on an AR - the top of the stock is in line with the top of the receiver, unlike most other rifles where the top of the stock is below the top of the receiver. Extra high rings, or high rings with risers are what are typically used to to line up the scope with the shooter's eye when using a proper cheek weld on the stock. This is why the iron sights on AR-15s/M16s/etc have always been so high above the bore. Any lower, and the sights / scope are below your line of sight.

LaRue for me too .... they really are worth every penny. If you want perfectly aligned rings, one of the best QD systems available, excellent hardware and a truly repeatable zero then all you need to do is order a LaRue mount.
