ALL 1300 MODEL WERE GREAT SHOTGUN--WHO STILL HAVE THEIR GUNS

I looked at the Win, Mossberg and Remington a few years ago. I ruled out the Winchester because it had the blued receiver. Final decision was the Mossberg on price. Probably not as well made as the Remington but it doesn't get shot much.

Looking back I'm glad I didn't chose Winchester, they no longer make that gun.

Decent pumpguns at a decent price, I for one am sorry to see them gone. I still have a couple of 1200s, a couple of 1300s, and one FN Police Pump.

It's a shame that FN dropped their line of pumpguns based on the Winchester 1300. But there should be parts available, for a while anyway.

i found a nice 1300 with wood for $360 out the door, is that worth it?

Last 1300 I bought (about a year ago) was a 12 ga. 24" rifle sighted barrel smoothbore slug gun, about 90 - 95%, for $140 or so (tag price was $125) , but then I'm a notorious cheapskate. $360 sounds too expensive to me...

i guess it depeneds on where you live

Hmm...I found a very clean 1300 just the same as Lee's including an attached Weaver scope base for $150.00.
Looking around recently the 90 per cent plus guns seem to be pushing for more money as of now.
Perhaps both of us scored good due to the rotten economy.

Those are running about $250 - $300 around here with wood and 26"/28" barrel and screw in choke. Buy yourself one and enjoy it. Enough were sold that parts should be around for a good while yet.

Bought a 12 gauge 1200 w/winchoke, from a guy leaving a gunshow. Gave a c-note.
I figured that was cheap enough, I could turn it inside, for a decent profit. What I didn't know was he had already pedaled it all over the show. I couldn't do better than break even.
I took that to mean there was something wrong with them in general. After listening to you guys I really wish I would have just kept it.

Used retail price on them around here, is about $120- $150 for a nice one. I'm gonna start picking them up.

All except for the 1300 Mariner.

you mean you guys see the coastal marine 1300 for $150------right

Your right. We were talking about 1200s and 1300s in general. I forgot this thread was about your shotgun. I have never even looked at one like you describe, but I dont live in the Aleutians either. But, it sounds wonderful. Every time you list all the things you like about it. It sounds wonderful.:)

I just recently bought a 1300 in 20 Ga. for $150.00.. thought it was a great deal!

Good looking gun too! will get some pics on here a bit later in the week!

might be a good week to take her out for a drive anyway....;)

i found quite a few parts for a 1300 looking around the net. i am not too worried.mine looks like brand new.it was 169.00 on the tag i traded a smith/wesson 916 and a extra kukri i had straight up for it at the gun shop.thought it was a fair trade.but it has the slickest action on any pump i have had.

The 916, possibly the worst shotgun ever made. I also had one when I was on a S&W kick. It was a good duck hunting gun and I used it for a few years. Around 2002 I asked a gunsmith a question about it and he made a face.

Think I may have sold it for just about what I paid.
