I ordered a spikes tactical mid length ar yesterday... I know there is a wait time, anyone bought one in the last couple months that can give me a ballpark on the wait? I have no problem being patient, just curious. Thanks.

Start calling in about 6 weeks and get an update over the phone. Once the rifle's upper and lower are matched and it hits the armory for final assembly and final QC, you can look at two to three weeks from that point forward.

So, I'd allow for up to 12 weeks max, but even that can change. YMMV.

Save $$ for ammo, or toys, mostly ammo.

Wow that long... I was thinking more like 6-8. Ok, well like I said, I'm in no hurry - but I am excited. I will update when it comes in.

I ordered an upper back around Christmas time. They said about 6 weeks. At around 5 weeks a sent them an email just wondering about the status. I got a reply later that night (and on a weekend ironically), and then a second email a couple days later that it was on it's way. Sure enough it showed up that week. Right at the time they said it would.

Well don't get your hopes high... I was told 4 weeks on my plain lower (no etching or color fill) and It was 9 weeks before it was shipped....

Strange I got a Spike's mid length upper from AIM in three days (from stock) about six months ago. Have AR things gotten crazy again? or are you wanting something a bit out of the norm?

I'm happy with the Spike's upper and picked up a Spike's lower at a gun show and built it into a complete rifle, I like it that much. I think the mid length really hits the sweet spot for us civilians.

Not that I know of. Spikes seems to be in high demand because of the quality vs. price. I got a chance to shoot a Spikes on multiple occasions before making my order, and IMO there is no better buy in the AR market.

I can, however, see things getting crazy in the next 18-24 months (especially if the president wins reelection and no longer has to appeal to the moderates). The only thing scarier than a socialist-liberal is a lame duck-socialist-liberal.:what:

Many Quality AR parts are starting to become harder and harder to find right now. Grant from G&R Tactical warned people a few months ago that he saw this coming. As the elections get closer more people are buying instead of selling. Add to that an increase in some materials cost and there will be lower availability. Barrels and Bolts are becoming especially hard to come by lately.
