Not sure why but stuck my Glock 29 10 MM in front pocket this morning . Have never considered for pocket carry. Seems to fit my weight, size and old age just fine, Have couple of mouse guns, got in bad sitution and kept hand on gun, No will notice few extra lumps on this old coot. I truely missed my 357 Ruger SP101 or this Glock 29. Will have to carry for few weeks. may find it best to get rid of mouse guns. Got no kin folk to give away, all tree huggers and draft dogers. I know will get 10 thousand responses, how safe think they are with 32 auto and 380 that will knock down a charging Kodiak bear.

...Got no kin folk to give away, all tree huggers and draft dogers...

I know what you mean. I have a couple of relatives who aren't right in the head but I still love them and can't find it in my heart to give them away

I have tried to pocket carry my G30 which is similar in size to the G29. If you can pull it off then more power to you because I couldn't do it and did not feel safe carrying it and my holster made for a thick pocket.

I'm comfortable with my .38 in my pocket, but wouldn't be with an unholstered Glock.

The safety is on the trigger. Not a bad design, but not one I'd want anything catching on.

Throw it in a pocket holster just to keep the trigger covered, and you're golden.

The trigger is covered by the pocket. Just never put anything else in that pocket that might find its way into the trigger guard. I knew a woman who had a Glock go off in her purse when a lipstick case got crossways in the trigger guard. No one was hurt.

Plaxico Burress had his stuck in the waist band of a pair of sweat pants. It fell down his leg and fired when he was fumbling with it.

+1 to Plaxico repeat. GET A POCKET HOLSTER PLEASE, lest you find your self on the receiveing end of an explosive bilateral orchiectomy. Seriously -- at some point your keys will find themselves into that pocket, and you will find yourself fishing them out.

I carry a G27 frequently in my front pocket, riding nicely indexed to my quick grasp in a Desantes Nemesis pocket holster.

pocket hoster on order

pocket holster on order oh dont wear jeans . always some kind of slacks.

I wish I could comfortable fit one in my pocket. Unfortunately a snub nose 38 is about the largest thing I can fit in there comfortably. When I can, I prefer just to carry my glock 19 iwb.

Sorry about the tree huggers and draft dodgers! I'm lucky so far, my kids are so interested that they consider it a "privilege" to be allowed to clean the guns after we go shooting together. Feel free to donate a mouse gun for the cause! :)

I tried carrying a Glock 27 in my pocket but to me it was just too noticeable. I switched up to a Glock 23 and couldn't be happier carrying IWB. My family is also a bunch of "tree-huggers and draft dodgers" going the other way (I'm the youngest in the family, early 20's) so I don't exactly expect any family heirlooms coming down to me. If you wanted to give one to a good home I'd be happy to take it in.

I've found that any handgun I put in my pocket seems to tip inward without a pocket holster. I prefer something covering the trigger, anyway. The pants covering them isn't enough for me...accidents happen and the holster will be much more firmly and securely covering the trigger guard.

Mine has been noticable for 10+ years. Not a single comment yet, and no LEO's questioning me. What you may find noticable is just not by the vast majority of the public. People simply do not pay attention. It prints. Big deal. No one ever looks. Pretty much the only folks that would see it are secret service, or LEO's on some type of protection detail. In my state, that level of scutiny is not considered a violation of concealment. I am only required to avoid CASUAL observation, not the professional gaze of someone trained to look.

If you're good with it, go for it! Another STRONG endorsement for a fitted pocket holster. Besides protecting the trigger, it will keep the pistol correctly positioned for grasping. Without a holster, a gun will rotate so that the muzzle points up!

i found my mouse gun would turn side ways, but not upside down. thats with or without a pocket hoster. I do find a hankichief or two solves the problem. As a old, overweight coot, no one but my wife would notice an extra lump or two in pockets.

tackstrp, I'm not trying to be, "My way is the only way", but as many have said, "BE CAREFUL!!" Even a piece of cloth can trip a trigger. I have a friend who blew his leg off when a bed sheet caught his shotgun's trigger. A pocket holster that covers the trigger (the DeSantis Nemesis is great, and its shape helps prevent shifting) is cheap protection.
FWIW, I pocket-carry exclusively, but the biggest gun I can deal with is a Kel-Tec 9mm.

HOLSTER PLEASE! I can carry a G27 in pocket without too much trouble; the G30 is mainly too heavy and looks like a reference bible in your pocket.

You would need a mighty big pocket. And is there any room left around the grip for your fingers? :scrutiny: Sticking a handgun temporarily in your pocket and practical continuous pocket carry are two different things.

Had an Uncle that never used a holster when packing a pistol. One day, he had an negligent discharge when he shoved his favorite pistol in the pocket of his trousers and sent a bullet right through the middle of his junk. Due to the extent of the damage, the doctors were only able to save 50% of his genitals. It's made my uncle a little testy. Now when he takes a woman out on a date, he has a tendency to go off half cocked

That was the official story. I equate that explanation, to the many times you hear of a gun going off while the owner was cleaning it. I'm guessing Plaxico was messing around with it in the club. That being said, pocket carry requires a pocket holster.
