quite variable

As time, business allows. Two years agos several times. Last year one time. This year seven times in November so far with more outings planned in Nov., Dec., and Jan.'12. Then there's Spring Gobbler season. So many hunts and so little time. Thankful for each and every time in the woods.

By the way today's Taurus is not yesterday's Taurus. Although I don't own any I have fired many. They may not be Colts or Smiths but the ones I have fired are rock solid and quite accurate.

My old body has sorta worn out, so I don't hunt very often, these days.

I've had years where there were many several-day hunts during a season. Texas deer season is roughly eight or nine weeks, and I occasionally would get out for about half of that time. Some years, though, life itsownself got in the way.

I guess my most accurate answer would be, "Most every chance I had." :)

I've managed to go on a hunt at least once month, mostly for rabbits and hog. As I've mentioned before, I do the walk/stalk/shoot, and in the worst case scenario that I'm out there and don't get anything, I've enjoyed a nice walk in the woods. Prior to coming home from, Iraq and getting out, I had only went hunting once. But after I got back, just about every weekend my buddies and I went out. It slowed down once they deployed again, but now they are back we're getting back into the old routine. In fact, tonight we are attempting our first dedicated coyote hunt, should be interesting. Also, I think I may have gotten the fiance into it now.

Until this year, I was out in the woods scouting all year long or running the rabbit dogs or clearing shooting lanes and trimming branches to get a climber in or ANYTHING to get me the hell out of the house and into nature. Both of my knees are blown out and I can barely walk to the corner to get my daughter from the bus. Have to wait a little while on knee surgery, since it's both knees, so I will be able to have someone here day in and day out for a few weeks till I can get mobile again. You can bet next year I'll be back on it though! Going to be going down to Texas every other month for 3 days of hog eliminations! All meat will be donated to the "Hunters Feeding The Hungry" program up here from my Texas trips.

Well, I am unemployed. My girlfriend left me a long time ago. I have no kids. I have access to lots of land(family) and I live next to it. Bow season started in Oct and today is the 20th of Nov.....

I would average it out to everyother day so far, but I would rather have a job.

I can relate waterhill. I was unemployed the previous two years and hunted every day of deer season both years. The venison I processed myself saved a lot of money and gave us a very good source of food. A new job this year, 1/2 the pay, no vacation, and six days a week. I haven't even bought a license. I guess life happens and priorities change as necessary. Next year will be different.

I check cattle every day, always got at least one rifle with me, hogs, coyotes, bobcats or whatever, if it is cold enough for me to take a deer I will. if the day ends in Y, I will hunt.

Quail and dove seasons = at least once a week, most years, but I drew out for deer this year, so I've been prepping for that and hunting birds less than usual.

This coming Thursday night, I will disappear from home for a while. Bambi may get away, but I'm going to be out there looking for him.
