Alright guys I bought a Ruger MK3 and shot it today, it performed really well but I like to disassemble all my firearms and clean them after range trips...but I'll never take this damn thing down again.

I've got a problem. Alright I took out the mainspring assembly, pulled the trigger to remove the bolt, and the damn magazine won't release. Just to clarify, I removed the bolt and the magazine simply won't come out of the gun. The release button is unresponsive.

What do I do? I just can't figure it out. The magazine simply won't release from the gun and it is stuck. :cuss: :banghead:

You should have removed the magazine before you started stripping the gun. You need to follow the directions in the owner's manual exactly with the Ruger .22 autos.

There is no need to completely strip down Ruger .22 pistols after each range trip.

Well this time was intended to get me familiar with the gun. The steps according to the manual are:

1. Empty gun and dry fire.

2. Remove mainspring assembly.

3. Insert magazine (required due to magazine disconnect), pull trigger, and pull out bolt.

4. Remove magazine.

5. Remove slide assembly.

Now for some reason after I removed the bolt the damn magazine will not come out of the gun.
