Just ask TexasPatriot.308 if he will go after a hog in the BRUSH with an anemic cartridge. Man has been chased up more trees than you can count! He will sit back at distance with a .17hmr and killum all day but he wouldn't go in the brush without something more appropriate you can bet on that! Appropriate bullet construction and placement of the shot is key to any kind of hunting but even more so on large boar hogs because of that shield.
