I don't know if this applied to 1st edition, found on Wikipedia.

When originally introduced Anacondas were plagued with poor accuracy, but changes to the barrels quickly corrected the problems to the point that Colt billed its new pistol as among the most accurate .44 Magnum revolvers in production.

Maybe, but I bought two boxed non-first edition guns for not much more money. I've enjoyed shooting them more than I would having one gun as an investment piece locked in a safe.

I agree completely. And, on top of that, it isn't difficult to polish a regular Anaconda to mirror finish if you like 1st edition looks. Then again, I don't have guns I don't shoot, no matter how rare or collectible they might be. Doing otherwise would be like dating Jessica Alba and sleeping on the couch.

This conversation might be a bit more constructive if you made sure you have your facts straight before you post. In Finland there has never been a limit on the number of guns you can own. There's no legislative or artificial need to shoot what you might have at hand. Some people shoot, some people collect. I shoot guns I collect. Telling other people what they should or should not do with their property has a bit of a socialist flavor to it, don't you think?

However, what I referred to was cosmetics, ie. polishing a regular Anaconda. "1st edition looks", if an exact word for word quote from the post you replied to is needed. I don't know where you got the idea of passing just another polished gun as some kind of a fake collectible, which it isn't.
