What is the last gun that you bought?

GSG 1911 .22lr--Got a good buy on this (will post pics when I get it next week--first gun I have purchased via galleryofguns but the store is literally less than one mile from my house so it feels good supporting a local economy/gun shop). I have had a job change in the last year and I just can't shoot my 9/45/12 as much as I used to. I plan on shooting thousands of rounds of .22lr annually via my new 1911 as well as a couple of .22lr rifle--I have a nice Marlin that I plan on leaving the wood alone but I am seriously thinking about converting my 10/22 into a tactical-like look just because if I will be shooting .22lr ammo now probably 80% of the time in an attempt to break the monotony.

A road trip will be on I-20 through Anniston AL in a few weeks.
The Next, Last rifle can be imagined by some of you, if that leg is on a weekday.

It would be better Not to have such temptation.

Bought (scored) a Yugo M48 yesterday at the Gun Show of all places. First time in years I actually found a real deal. It is pristine. $225 with the bayonet, frog, cleaning kit, sling.
I guess this idea of being there when the doors open paid off this time :)

Beretta PX4 40

I got the type C Law Enforcement Edition. Nice gun, kinda expensive fir the edition I got. I'd trade for an XDm in a heartbeat.

That rifle wouldn't happen to be a M1-Garand now would it? :D

Last Gun

Ruger 10/22 in Walnut Mannlicher stock and three weeks prior to that, for the wife, a Taurus 9 shot 22 Lr in Polished SS with a 4 inch barrel, that I put Pink Rubber grips on. I really did buy it for her and the granddaughter to shoot. You know I bought it for the wife if I put pink grips on it.

I can see a lot of people opting for .22 type guns--makes a lot of sense on so many levels (range, plinking, competition etc.). There's that certain peace-of-mind about taking several+ bricks of "affordable" ammo out for a weekend of shooting with the family absent breaking the bank (which in this "new economy" is tantamount in importance).

S&W J frame 642-2 Talo edition. It's a great little pocket pistol.
460Kodiak, Just out of curiosity do you carry speed loaders for you primary CCW? I often wonder about this relative to revolvers but seem to always forget to ask (I think I am going to search for a stat study on how many revolver people carry speed-loaders as well just to satisfy my curiosity).

-Cheers

PT92, I don't know if you'd count them as 'speedloaders' ( though they are faster than loose rounds), but I carry a speed-strip for my CCW.

Lately I have had that 'itching' for a revolver--I would like to get one and become proficient with the reloads just to be sure if I decide to use it for CCW at times.

I'll buy a .22 on a whim, and treat it as a toy.

I have my "serious use" gun needs covered, at this point I'm not filling "need" slots, just "want" or "giggle at" slots in the safe. For example, a NAA mini is a "giggle at" gun, and the .22lr mare's leg / Henry USSR / Marlin Papoose are "want" guns more than "need" guns

Marlin 795. Came with Shooter's Ridge 25-rd. mag, what a piece of crap. Thankfully it also came with an OEM 10 rounder. Bought a Bushnell .22 rimfire scope for it, have yet to sight it in.

It happens to us all, in particular, at large-scale gun shows, believe me. Go out with a methodical plan to searh said venue for specific item only to veer off on a tangent resembling the wife gone mad on a weekend shopping spree:eek:!

LOL

The last time I went looking for something specific, I was searching for a 4inch S&W 29

Brought home a Century FAL ( which rather quickly became one of my favorite guns)
