Will a .357 magnum work in a .357 maximum rifle?
Does anyone make such a rifle?
35 Remington isn't legal for use on deer in Indiana, .
That's the darnedest law I ever heard of..35 Remington isn't legal for use on deer in Indiana,
Rifles with cartridges that fire a bullet of .357-inch diameter or larger; have a
minimum case length of 1.16 inches; and have a maximum case length of 1.625 inches
are legal to use only during the deer firearm season.
Some cartridges legal for deer hunting include the .357 Magnum, .38-.40
Winchester, .41 Magnum, .41 Special, .44 Magnum, .44 Special, .44-.40 Winchester,
.45 Colt, .454 Casull, .458 SOCOM, .475 Linebaugh, .480 Ruger, .50 Action Express,
and .500 S&W.
Why not??? I have taken moose with the 35 Remington.
VA 27,which Marlin is too short? The 336 would work fine,as far as length goes.Would need some bolt face work along with feed mechanism alteration and rebarreling.Maybe a pump action rifle would be easier to modify for the longer round.Didn't IMI make a pump action .357 rifle some years back?
