I heard that some reloaders have some problem with a federal primer for 9 mm , not easy to seat etc, but with Winchester no trouble...like i reload only with Federal primers, before to buy a 650 press i would like to have your advice,
thank

thank guy for the answers, if i have a crimped primers, what i have to do loadmaster? throw it ?
Or pass a special tool?

I use Federal primer for all my revolver loads and Winchester for my semi auto pistols. Never experienced an issue with the use of Federal primers in my Dillon 550.

I seem to remember hearing that Dillon had a warning on their website about certain primers used with their equipment. Might check that out?

Alca: If your ases are crimped, you will need a primer pocket chamferng tool (10.00 to 12.00)or a Dillon 600 Swage tool (Approx 100.00). Both do a good job but the Dillon tool is for an advanced loader or one who loads hundreds of military cases. Remember, you only have to do it once.

From the Dillon website:

Federal cautions about the use of their primers in any magazine feed systems, due to their increased sensitivity. As long as you don't force the handle if it feels different, they load just fine.
