"High cvapacity" vs "Low capacity/Standard capacity"

I just looked up the Smith and Wesson SD9 on their site and I was amazed to see they kit offered in to flavors. Standard capacity (16+1) and low capacity (10+1). Is that a new change? For the longest time, all pistol mags that hold around 15 or more rounds were called "high capacity" magazines, mostly by the media, in order to make it sound like 15 rounds was far too much for a normal person. But manufactures and stores said that too. Since when did S&W change over to the true correct definition, and call a 10 round mag "low", and 16 is "standard". it should have always been this way, but I appreciate them catching up. Is this another sign times are a changing? Or an I just late in noticing this?

Well I know why they manufacture magazines in 10rd capacities, and then mags that have more. I am speaking more to the change in terminology that seems to have taken place. Back in the day, 10 rounds was "standard" and even gun companies called their 15rd mags "high capacity". They played the media game. Now it seems that they've switched over to the logical naming system, where a 10 rd mag is "low" and a mag that fills the pistols magazine well is "standard". I'm glad that it's caught on. Now if we can just get the term "high capacity" out of the media...
