All the Walmarts around me sell WWB 115 gr. FMJ and 147 gr. JHP along with Remington 115 gr. FMJ and 115 gr. JHP but nothing in 124 gr.

Why no 124 gr.?

All depends on your walmart. Mine has plenty of the orange/black box 124gr. I think it is RWS like mgmorden mentioned. You win some you lose some though, no .30 carbine at the local walmart. I have also heard of Tula being available, but have never seen it.

Please remember that Walmart isn't a big box outdoor store with available ammo in almost every caliber and bullet weight. WM only sells the more popular calibers and loadings.

Except you pay 17 bucks to ship it...not much of a deal after Ihat.

If you're buying individual boxes it's not, but to take advantage of the flexibility, ease of price comparisons, and choices of the internet you have to buy a little more than a single day's worth of shooting at a time.

OP, www.georgia-arms.com or www.georgiaarms.com, one of those two. They're a great company, and they have all kinds of different offerings, including inexpensive range ammunition in every bullet weight.

"appears the bullets are steel jacketed with brass plating"

I believe you'll find that it's iron and not steel. Iron is an element and relatively soft. The copper coating adds a little slickness. The GECO I'm shooting is bimetal coated too.

ya it sucks, but it really depends on your walmart as mine carries 115 rem and 115 WW but up the road 30 miles they carry Tula, Rem, WW, Fed,and RWS plus different weights. If you can get the RWS ammo it's the best i've found at walmart so far.

Just another reason to bite the bullet and start reloading.
