Been reading some good things about them, might offload my G21 for one this week. Have they got the issues sorted out with the SF model yet?

I have a 36, while i wish i would have gotten the 30sf instead
best regards
main reason was just the magazine

I had a Gen 3 Glock 30 and loved it. Very accurate for a short barreled handgun. Pretty good sights, easy to handle recoil, though I'm 6'4" and 220 lbs. I've never had it FTF or FTE or had any problems with it. I regret trading it, but I did end up with a nice 1978 Colt Combat Commander instead. But the Glock would have been the perfect concealed carry gun for me. Now my Kimber 1911 goes for the ride.

But ya, great gun.

Research the problems with the 30SF series, specifically trigger bar 4256-1 prior to buying one of the 30SF framed guns.

I had one and it was periodically reliable, one time it would be fine, next time out it was one FTF after another. So much so that the LGS replaced it with a G30 and it has been 100%

I appreciate the response guys. I did not care for the feel of the 30 today, so Im going to get a decent iwb for my 21 and see how it does. The 30 was larger than I thought and not enough of a size difference to justify swapping.

Yeah. The recoil on my G36 is MUCH more significant than my son's 30SF is. The G30SF handles recoil surprisingly well, IMHO.
Recoil is an issue, not as big of an issue as the magazines.....I'd like my 21 mags to go into the same backup or weapon. aka glock 21 to 30 so I should be good to go. called glock in reference to a 4th gen glock 30....it's....well.....

I have a G30SF and LOVE it!!!! It has NEVER jammed on me and has a slightly smaller grip than the 30. I'm a woman with normal sized hands, but long fingers, so maybe that's why it fits me so well. It's a little bulky, but overall the size is great and I think the recoil is very manageable. Try the SF, you might like it better.
