Mine aren't having problems, been shooting 'em for years.
A .357 carry is a belt gun due o weight, no matter then barrel length. Now, one can fit a full handed grip to any revolver. My faves are the round butt profile Hogues. The little 5 shooters are great on a belt as they're light weight, yet capable. I do prefer a 3" barrel, though, since it ain't going into a pocket.
I have a 3" M66 (K frame sized) that rides on a belt or in a fanny pack from time to time. Here is is with my 4" nickel 66. I have a Hogue on it now days, though.
Here's my 4" 66 with my 85SSUL I carry the 85 mostly pocket carry. .38 is enough.
These are quality and ACCURATE revolvers. They go bang every time. The little 85 has an unbelievably good trigger right out of the box.
I'd say, any of the 5 shot .357s is a belt gun, go with the 3" barrel. The ultralight .38s are pocketable and .38 doesn't require the extra barrel length to perform, faster powders. If you wanna pocket carry, consider one of the .38s, concealed hammer might be best, but I like an exposed hammer even in a pocket gun.
