My local gun store has had on order for me a Glock 29SF for two months from several distributors. Has anyone else here heard of any difficulties getting this or any other Glock? What gives?

Lots of Glocks have been hard to get lately, but 2 months is a long time.

I was at my favorite LGS (Local Grocery Store) Wednesday, which is senior discount day, and they were out of jalapeño peppers. I was outraged.

So I called around and found one that had fresh jalapeños.

I had to drive the 170 miles to Atlanta to get my last Glock but it was worth the trip. Wife and I stopped by the Varsity for a few greasy hotdogs, went to one of Atlanta's largest malls, spent the night at an upscale hotel and had a good time.

Life is good; life is a journey ... enjoy the ride even if it sometimes has a minor detour.

Next time I need peppers & advice on how to find them you're my go-to guy. The reason I'm sticking with this shop is loyalty. They've been good to me so I deal with them whenever I can, even if it calls for a little patience. I will however admit that their selection of peppers leaves something to be desired.

Thanks for your help though.

Hate to say it but I know of a store that has has multiple new production 29SF's on the shelf every day of the last sixty. And every day of the last year at least. Been shooting 10mm and G29's for well over a decade. It's a tank and you'll love it I'm sure. Call Shooters in Jacksonville Fl. or Buds if you tire of waiting. Both have a solid internet storefront. I don't work there (or own it!) this is'nt an advertisement.

I looked for over a year trying to find mine, but I was looking for a deal. I missed a few, because they go quick. I've had mine for about a month and a half, and the love-affair is still in full bloom. It's on my hip everyday and my other girls have been kicked to the curb. Good luck finding one, I think you will be happy once it's in your hand. If you love Glocks (I do) and love power (I do), I doubt that you will be disappointed with the G-29~

I kept asking my LGS about them and one day about a month ago they had one. Long story short, it came home with me, $515 out the door and it's been my new carry gun.

We got a G29 in yesterday. I believe it is the SF model. I didn't look very closely. I'm not sure how long ago it was ordered. It seems like many distributors are getting low on several items.

Yep, loyalty is important even when it cost you money and keeps you from getting what you want. I see your point completely.

Hhmmm....New production of G-29's???? S0000....Glock is still running 3rd generation production for those models which are not yet being produced with the new-polymer 4th generation??? Well, that's good to know...maybe, in that case Glock will still be in the 10mm business with their G-29 & G-20 models, until they can manage....--Patrice

Glock is staying with the 10mm. Love Glocks or hate em', both Glock 10mm's are must have's for anyone that shoots a lot of the caliber. Not many firearms you can say that about other than the .50 DE and the FN 5.7. Glock 30's are'nt out yet, the only other one just like it other than cartridge. Admittedly as a 10mm shooter, the .45ACP is much more popular.

If the 29's are as rare as some claim (I could get 20 NIB right now), Glock is probably trying to clean out older (3RD GEN) for the G4's in the pipeline.
