I'm just trying to get an idea of what's your summer CCW. It seems that with popularity of the smaller guns these days everybody's shifting toward pocket carry. Are there still a few holdouts that still carry something other than the pocket rockets?

Granted this is my first year carrying, or at least I am coming up on my anniversary. During that year I haven't noticed the bad guys getting any smaller during the warmer months so my weapon hasn't changed.

Call me crazy and I'm not trying to open a can of worms but I would be concerned about being able to get a firm grip on a smaller pistol when sweaty and excited. I'll stick to the CABO theory, Carry A Big One or at least reasonably big.

Kahr PM45, not just summer most of the time. very comfortable to carry, very accurate and very reliable.

Ruger LCP, with Hogue Handall Hybrid rubber grip sleeve, loaded with a Buffalo Bore 90-grain +P hollow point in the chamber, and 6 FMJ rounds in the magazine with Ruger floor plate extension, in a Galco pocket holster. Fits nicely into a jeans or cargo shorts pocket. Anything bigger or heavier in my pocket would not work for me.

ruger lcp in front pocket 24/7 in addition to either a glock 22 or a ruger sp101.

Kel Tec PF-9, IWB. It carries comfortably, and conceals very well.

I plan on getting a CW9, CM9, or PPS for my next gun. When I do, I'll probably switch to carrying the new one. My PF-9 (and many others, apparently) doesn't like to eat just anything. Wrong diet = FTE. That bugs me.

The same as my winter, spring, and fall carry. Concealed, open, or indifferently carried, it all works.

I don't change for the season, just the occasion.

The ones that get carried-concealed, year-round:

S&W 637 2-1/2" bbl in a Desantis Nemesis for regular-carry on the homestead / casual knocking-about. ...or...

S&W 5904 in a Crossbreed Supertuck out in the paved world. I have a 3913 and 908 that fit the same holster, but my 5904s really don't feel much "bigger" carried IWB. ...To me anyway.

I also will default to a LCP in nice leather wallet holster if the situation demands lightweight dress slacks, button-down shirt, and no jacket.

I actually got a bigger gun. Went from a 4" Sigma to a 4.25" 1911. Not much bigger, but I. Think the grip is longer. It is a lot slimmer, though
I refer to my carry method as "concealed" carry. Meaning there's a garment over my gun, and I mostly conceal, but other times it's quite obvious I have a gun on my hip.

Taurus 605 in a pocket holster. Works great with shorts and a tee, if you hafta make a quick run to the local Stop 'N' Rob or some such. I keep it loaded with 125gr. .38 +P's normally.
