10mm conversion to 357 sig?

Hello. Has anybody done this conversion? Does I simply involve a barrel and magazine? How about to 40sw conversion? Any tips or feedback be much appreciated. It's a colt delta elite / new model. Thanks.
 
Ammo availability. And a lot of the 10mm i do find is Too hot to shoot a lot. Plus I just want to know.
 
You can get 10mm from mild to wild. I wouldn't have a Sig (can that ammo be found?) and .40 is not worth spending money to downgrade to. Get a Barsto barrel and some goodies for your Delta and leave it a 10.
 
Depends on the gun.

If you are talking a Glock 20 or 29, Lonewolf has drop in barrels for .40 S&W, .375 SIG, and 9X25 Dillon. It literally only takes two minutes to swap out the barrels and since you use the same magazines, it's a short simple way to get another gun for about 100 bucks.
 
Any gun you can convert (cheaply and in a quickly reversible way) to another caliber is a bonus in my book. Also if you reload, and if you have a good supply of brass, 357 Sig is cheaper to load than .40 and 10mm.
 
You'll probably need .40S&W mags (with the spacer) for either of the shorter .40 S&W or .357 SIG rounds.

Sometimes you can get away with the shorter rounds in the longer magazine (9 mm in .38 Super or .40S&W in 10mm mags), but in my experience usually not in the 1911.
 
9X25 Dillon is THE 10MM necked down to 9mm.

If you want to go to 9mm, that is the way to go.

That Delta Elite will become almost a M1 Carbine that way.

I find it strange that so many seem to want to talk you out of doing this. Simply wanting to do it is reason enough and would bet most of the same posters have firearms in less powerful calibers than 10mm.

If this is something you want to do, go right ahead. If you want to save money on ammo, the best solution is to reload. I shoot 357 sig for much less than most shoot 9mm. For that matter, I also shoot 357 magnum for less than factory 9mm.

I agree. They want to do everything except answer the question, but I dont mind. It's a process. Lol.

Also, I have been saving my brass.
