That is great looking. I wish I had a bit more OCD in my make-up so I could be as neat as that.

I always clean up before I take pictures too!

It only takes a couple of days for things to return to normal.

Well I guess I will play now! Not as top notch as some of these, but I'm proud of my setup since its my first.

Looks like it, but the shop light above the bench really does supply more light than what it appears. I also have a 12 led adjustable light on my press. Trust me I made double sure I had enough light. Most of the time I leave the ceiling lights off in the shop because they drown out the light above the bench. There's nothing on that bench thats not got light on it. Bad camra phone pic also

Total reloading newb here. I just made the decision to finally get into it, oh, yesterday. But when I make up my mind, that's it.

Went to Home Depot today and put this together. Now I just need to make sure that what I have in my cart at Midway is what I really want to order so that I can equip it!

A) great start ... it will grow, trust me!
B) LOVE my WeatherTech floor mats
C) good job on the fire extinguisher

Fire extinguisher was already there, but it sure did turn out to be a good spot, eh?

Ron, you have always done everything at full throttle.

LAH - Short answer, YES... so much better then the RCBS model. If you push hard on the RCBS it will die down... Not the Hornady, pure power!

I've had mine for a couple years & use it mostly for 223 & 30/06 my two bulk shooters. It's quick & easy to process cases & I love quick & easy.

Might as well jump in here

My 7 yo son is getting getting into shooting and hunting so I dusted off what i had left of my RCBS gear from when I was a young lad. He took to it like a labrador to a pond. I had a rough setup on my work bench but i have been adding a little touch here and a little shelf there.

Ronno! You never got to build your new reloading room we designed together??? That's a dang shame! I was really planning to pedal the 5000 miles to your house on my bike when you finished it to reload with you. As long as you turn off the cameras that is. Probably a wise move though....not building it. By now you've bought so much equipment, that that design is probably too small now.

That's good stuff Pit4Brains. I had my 9 year old daughter running .40s through a crimp die the other day. She was loving it.

It even started to be built (Framing) but once the garage was broken into and over $21,000 worth of my Snap-On and Starrett tools,fishing gear and boat electronics was stolen I decided I better not do this and then be the guy that gave the crooks stuff to make their own ammo.

I have since put up a 6 foot fence all around, 24/7 video both inside and and outside, alarm and two german shepherds but something still does not feel right about putting that room out there. SO we may add on to the house we are talking about it now.

And I STILL want to use your floorplan (Thank you for that) it will work and I like how you had it done, all I have to do is just add 2 feet each way! I have more equipment yes! In fact a total of 4 more presses are coming in between now and Oct...

SO yes I REALLY need to do something!

Wow! That is bad news. Sorry for your loss. I have to agree, adding on to your home is a way better idea. Somebody bad, knew what you had. Be careful. You could always move to Sunny North New Mexico. (then I wouldn't have 5000 miles to pedal) Seriously.... best wishes on your new project plans. Yes you need space...bad.

Ronno: The picture is showing my bench 2 years ago, cleaner than usual. Too many projects....bullet feeder, case feeder, next.......case collator. I'm having a ball though.

New bench

Here's a picture of my new bench. I was tired of sharing my workbench with my reloading chores. My next project is to put up some shop lights so I can SEE!

I hate renting!

I already posted this on another board, but I am very happy with how it turned out, and I have to show it to someone. I grew tired of looking at my old bench. I keep it in an extra room in the house, and plywood with 2X4's doesn't look all that classy indoors. I built this one out of solid oak, stained it and put a hand rubbed oil finish on it. It is VERY solid and looks much better. It turned out well considering I only have a cheap jigsaw and sander for power tools. This pic is before it was loaded up with stuff. Going to build some shelves next.

Well, I finished this about a month ago. Home Depot had the unfinished sink base and cabinets on sale. The bench top is 2x4's screwed and glued together in a sorta butcherblock idea, with 3/4" cabinet plywood screwed to the bottom. It's SOLID! I dovetailed a slot into the top and trimmed with red oak for durability on the edges and interface. My trimmer, measure, primer, etc are mounted to 1x6 oak to slide in and out of place. I reinforced the crap out of the sink base and ripped some 2x6's for the riser to get the bench top to 42". Its all screwed to the studs in the wall and it's awesome to use compared to my rickety old set-up! If I had to do it again, I would have bought the prefinished base and cabinets, or just painted it.
