9mm powder

No problem. There's a lot of information to be had here and it really don't change overnight.

W-231 AND Universal works for me.

I like unique awful well. It is a great universal powder too.

I have used Unique, W231/HP-38, Red Dot, AA #5, Power Pistol, Silhouette/WAP, WSF, WST, Clays, and a few others that I can't remember.

Unique is a good one. It was one of the first powders that I started using. Some powder measures dont meter it very well. I used 5gr with the 124gr and 5.4/5.5 with the 115gr.

W231 is an excellent 9mm powder. I have developed several good loads using it.

WSF is my go to powder for 9mm cast bullets. Low smoke and good accuracy on paper.

Right now, I am using Ramshot Silhouette with Berry's 115gr bullets. I really like it so far. It doesn't really start to shine until you get to the upper end of the data though. It is also very low flash. I like Ramshot's load data because it includes plated bullets.

I have used Power Pistol powder in the past with good results, but I haven't used enough of it yet to really have an opinion. Several swear by it.

I use WST, HS6 and power pistol. WST works for my all around practice load, PP for top end (lots of flash and bang), HS6 for high end practice load.

I've been using Hogdon Longshot since I started a few months ago and it's been doing very well for me. No chrono, but supposedly about 1200 fps according to the book.

I use Unique in about everything including the 9mm.

It isn't the newest or fastest powder known to man.

But it hasn't been in continuous production for nearly 100 years because it doesn't do the job as well as most, and better then a lot of them.

HP 38, AA #5, and Bullseye are what I use most.

I use bullseye for my 9mm plated and JHP loads since it meters very consistent and I have like 6 pounds of it to burn up. I seem to end up with a lot of it cheap, even by accident. Went to buy 4 pounds of Unique and it turned out to be Bullseye. Packaging looks real close if you don't look close.

I like the stuff a lot and use it for a lot of different calibers, at least tested.

Right now my favorite is Bullseye. In the past I've used Green Dot and that was good too, but I can load Bullseye hotter without it getting "peaky".

The next powder on my list to try is WSF.

There's been 15 different powders already mentioned so I'll add 5 more...Solo 1000, N320, Nitro 100, Titegroup and N330. Personally, I hate TG but I had to throw it in there. So which one will the OP choose? The suspense is killing me.

W231/HP-38 and Longshot are the 2 powders I use most for the 9mm.

4.5 grains of Titegroup under a 115 grain Berry's plated bullet is a very accurate load. I like Titegroup because I can use it for .380ACP, 9mm, .40SW, and .45ACP. The cool thing is that 4.5 grains of Titegroup is within limits for a 115 grain 9mm bullet, a 180 grain .40SW bullet, and a 230 grain .45ACP bullet.

Unique. Cheap. Works. Consistent. Good volume for 9mm.

I like titegroup because it's cheap and accurate. Local Sportsmans warehouse sells 8lbs for $120.

Tite Group, yeah it's cheap and meters ok, other than that it sucks.
Lets see, it burns extremely Hot, causes lead to Smoke, recoil is excessively Snappy, stains the brass, very high density making double charges harder to detect and it's Foul. One bullet manufacturer even recommends against using it with their bullets. As it so happens, TG is no stranger to KBs either. But hey, it's cheap!

HP-38 & AA#5 work for me.

W231/HP-38 for lightweight bullets. Universal for the heavyweights.
