So I work at Walmart yes I know some of you dislike the place. I am working there because i am in college okay. Anyways I go to get a cart from this guy and he is wearing a tactical drop leg holster no gun in it so I ask him."do you even own a handgun to put in that thing" he said,"no I don't I just think it looks cool I don't even own a gun."I walk away shaking my head. Idiots like this guy make gun owners look bad he was yelling at people how he was going to "bust a cap in somebody" My questions to you are A How do you handle this situation.
B how do you convince anti gun people we don't all act like this fool.

Live and let live. He ain't hurting anyone. It's like the nut job that wears a cape 'cause it's fun to pretend to be a superhero.

What's to handle. There're enough potential issues out there truly in need of being addressed without goin' all "Crusader Rabbit" on this guy.

Hahahahahah :D

That's ridiculous, I've never heard such a thing!

He should have bought a plastic cap gun to stick in that empty holster. :uhoh:

To be honest, your writing skills are very hard to read. I'm not sure you have much room to knock anyone.

here is what to handle this is my place of work.Do people come to your work and talk about shooting people?I didn't think so. I enjoy being able to carry my gun into Walmart openly they no me there. If this guy is out talking about how he will shoot people in the parking lot wearing a holster. Not all of Walmart is pro gun so now they see this and even the customers see this. Next they decide oh all people with guns are crazy now you cant carry here anymore that is messing with me so yeah i Feel that it needs to be handled. Ive done nothing wrong yet because of an idiot i cant do what i enjoy doing so yes it needs to be handled. Which I did I let him no that the police were on their way and he politely left. I just wanted everybody's thoughts on the moron. This time he didn't hurt anyone what if he does get a gun and comes back and does start shooting people. Then what do I just tell myself oh I did the right thing by just doing Nothing that makes a whole lot of sense.

If he's threatening to kill someone, just call the cops and let them deal with it. That's their job. Otherwise, griping about it on a message board is about as worthless as that guy's empty holster...

cops

I did call them yet. Why should I lose my right to open carry? Ill be glad to get my concealed if you pay for the class

Don't apologize for where you work. There are a lot of very successful people at WalMart. Thousands of them.

lost

Walmart is a private property. Do you understand this. So guy acts like a idiot they say "well all gun owners can act like this idiot so no one can open carry at Walmart" QUID PRO QUO I can't carry. So at Wally World I lose my rights!!! Im not complaining about my job I love it in fact I just hate some of their rules.

This thread needs to be locked, as it serves no purpose.

If you think someone carrying around an empty holster and making threats is going to cause you to lose your rights to carry in wal mart, yet refuse to do anything about it other than talk about it on the internet, then I'm sorry, but I have no sympathy.

Wal-Mart is private property, and they can decide to not allow concealed carry REGARDLESS of who is or isn't behaving appropriately, and there's nothing you can do about it.

If you think this particular individual is a threat, your choice is to either call the police, or do nothing. If wal-mart chooses to not allow concealed-carry or open-carry, it is their right, and your choice is to find a new job or not carry. It's really a non-issue, and certainly not worthy of being discussed in any detail on here, because I'm afraid you won't get the answers you're hoping for.

purpose

It has purpose I did what I thought was right and the purpose of this thread is to ask others if they have ever been in a similar situation and how they went about it.

P.S. How do you Know I didn't do anything about it ?

As you should know, walmart is a large corporation. They will not make a decision based on one guy making threats.

You seemed concerned about howgun owners are viewed. IMHO you would not help that viewpoint by approaching the guy and esccalating the situation. Peoplewho want to view gun owners in a bad light, or people on the fence about the issue, will likely view it as 2 "gun nuts"causing a scene.

report it to your boss and call the cops. You are not in a position to take the matter in your hands.

When I worked at a super market, I once saw someone wearing a cheap holster without a gun. He was talking to someone about a guard job he was doing. It looks silly to do the empty holster crap unless it's at a protest. I just laugh and shake my head at those kind of people really.

It's not my duty to stop someone from looking like an idiot.....if it were, I'd be full-time, 24/7/365. I think most people are rational enough to deduce not every gun owner comes from the shallow end of the gene pool just because there are a few idiots out there
