So I may should have posted this in legal but I'm not sure so I'll start here. I am getting ready to move to Kentucky to attend school and I understand that they have open and concealed carry. The difference is, from what I understand, you have to be 21 and obtain a permit to conceal but open carry is unregulated aside from you have to be 18. My questions are:
Is my information correct?
Why don't I see any people open carry while I'm in Kentucky?
Do I have to spend a certain amount of time in the state before I can open carry?
Does the University of Kentucky prohibit carry on campus?
And on a less serious note, is there regulation on what you can open carry? Like, if one wanted to sling a hunting rifle and tote it down the street, is that legal? (Not that I would, I just come from Illinois where carry of any sort is a huge no no. Like carrying a hunting rifle from your car to a store could get you harassed so I'm curious.)
Thanks Guys!
