Looking for a downloadable ballistic calculator that will work on a Kindle Fire (Android based). Looked at apps in Amazon's store and found one but comments stated it didn't do rimfire. I'm got a shoot this weekend where I probably will not have Internet access and need ballistics for 22lr out to about 500 yards and 7.62x54r out to 1000.

Well good luck with that.
Just run any ballistics program on your PC, print out the drop tables, and take them with you to the 1,000 yard range.
Drop is a constent, and what it is at home is what it will be at the range 50 miles away too.
Trying to shoot extreme long range with a cell phone is not gonna help you all that much in real life anyway!!
Until you learn to judge wind, mirage, and the phase of the moon, all the cell phone aps in the world will not help you learn to shoot .22 RF at 500, or 7.62 at 1,000.
Thats a fur piece for either caliber.

Check out Strelok in the Play Store, you can set it up for any velocity and BC you want and it has drop information for almost 100 different reticles. Best of all, IT'S FREE! I like it so much I actually donated a few bucks to his site.
Yes, I understand that. Those of us going to this shoot from this area are used to short sight lines and lots of trees. Neither of the rifles I'm bringing have been shot more than 200 yards. The calculator will come in handy for windage adjustments, and having it there might be interesting as other guys will likely be shooting different stuff. Just trying to get some starting points. And it's a 3 day distance clinic, the whole idea is to learn to measure distance with mildots and set your drop rate and windage. I can print charts for what I'm shooting before I go, it would be handy to have the calculator there for off range time as well.

This one will probably work on the Kindle Fire. It is "stand alone" and does not require an Internet connection when in the field. -

It has pre-defined "bullet data", but you can enter your own data for anything you are trying to shoot.
While I haven't set it up for .22LR, I believe it would be possible, provided you have basic data for the ammo you intend to shoot.
