Dear THR,
IF money was no concern and it was legal to own, which one of the guns listed in the poll would you like to buy/own? Please disccuss your choice if you may.

Thanks

Glock G18, actually 2 G18s and enough magazines to melt the frames. If money was not a concern I would like a Cylinder and Slide Centenial 1911...too.

Borchart
or a FA DWM Broomhandle, fully stocked, long barrel mauser
Or any of the early Mannlichter pistols

Actually
money is NO object, .45APC US trials Luger Number 2, there were about 20? .45 APC lugers made, however, two were submitted to the US trials and number one was destroyed during testing, so that leave number 2, and money would have to be no object, that's the worlds most expensive gun.

Rock Island Auction has the Savage entry up for auction at the end up the month,

On your list, I would like the Wilson. There's a cachet about Wilson. My wife owns a non-Master Nighthawk. It was an ordeal to get. The Wilson would be for me.

Off your list, I would like to own a NIB Colt's 1908 hammerless pocket pistol.

Not even in existence, I would like to own a NIB Colt's 1908-style hammerless pocket pistol in 9mm. Can you imagine how cool that would be? I know Bill Laughridge at Cylinder and Slide in Fremont, Nebraska makes one up in .45ACP and that may just be the ticket. Someday. If the economy ever makes a comeback. I should live so long.:D

I'll have to get my book and get the exact number, but at one time Wayne Novak owned 6 or 7 of the savage trial pistols. Theres some really good pics of one in Patrick Sweeneys 1911 the first 100 years, it's a really neat little pistol.

I went for the Glock 18C, but I changed my mind to the Nighthawk. The Glock sure is something, but I'm a 1911 man, and there's no shaking that part of me.

None of the above.
The only interesting one is the Astra & having owned a real Mauser C96 in the past, it's not even that interesting.

Things I'd find far more interesting:
Coonan 357
Sig P210 (original model)
Savage .45 ACP trials pistol
Dan Wesson Pistol Pack revolver in .45 Colt.
A Parker 16 gauge in CHE or better grade

Korth made a Tactical model? You sure about that?

Nothing really on your list. The 1911's aren't anything special so I'd have to go with the X-6

My choice? I'd probably go with the below
Christianson or Chen 1911

And have to pick up one of the below during the waiting period..
Pardini GT96B or a Sig X-5 Short and Smart

I shot a Glock 18C once upon a time at a Law Enforcement Range Day and it was very hard to give it back. It will empty a 33 round magazine in about 1.5 seconds. The Range Instructor said that the only submachine gun/machine pistol with a higher cyclic rate than the Glock 18 was the MAC-10.

Big fun.

Just my .02,
LeonCarr

Tough choice between the Beretta 93R and the Astra 903. If it was a M712 Schnellfeuer instead of the Astra I probably would have gone that way. Went with the Beretta because I think it's one of the best looking full auto pistols.

The cool factor of these guns is through the roof. I voted for the Beretta because of the select fire option. If I were going for straight up sexiness. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the 1911s.

I picked the Nighthawk. All the guns on the list have a TON of cool and wow factor to them. However, having owned a Nighthawk before, and personally knowing the people at Nighthawk I think I'd tend to be brand loyal.

I have to go with the Beretta Model 93R, though the Glock G18 was also mighty tempting.

Yes korth does make tactical.

I myself chose Glock 18c as its the one I used the most . I also wanted to include a CZ Auto but didnt want two CZs on the list.

While the Glock 18 is a fun shooter, I just didn't enjoy it that much. For a full-auto weapon, I prefer a shoulder fired gun.

That being said, I went with the Wilson because I want a high-quality .45 that I won't have a problem putting to work (so no beautiful stainless ones ;)).

But I would choose the Tactical Supergrade instead of the TS Professional...

Wilson, without a doubt.
The Nighthawk is an engraved monstrosity, and the DW Havoc is appropriately named. Its designer wreaked havoc on JMB's design.

Wilson Combat.

I'm not a big 1911 guy (in fact, it's a miracle that I didn't chose the 18C!), but the work Wilson Combat puts out is just plain gorgeous.

I went with the Wilson Combat. The very first 1911 I ever fired was a Wilson CQB. I've been sold on them ever since. Some day when I have a bit more disposable income I'll get one, (although I can't see the point in the Supergrade professional.)

Wilson, Beretta 93R, Mauser "Schnellfeuer", Stechkin.
Hell, I can't choose.

Oh heck, my choice isn't even there.

Webley Fosbery. Last one I saw for sale went for $7000, and it wasn't even in very good shape.

I own a couple Korths.

Which is the Tactical? The semi auto in 45ACP? If so, it was never in production.

I have one in 9mm. Awesome pistol.

After the SIG P-210 the pistol I'd lust for most would be a Dan Wesson 1911. Not familiar with the Havoc. Some of the pistols on the list are full auto capable so how does the Havoc play into this? ;)

Wilson, without a doubt.

Wilson  You could count the number of 1911 master smiffs on one hand that compare to Paul Liebenberg of Pistol Dynamics.
