I figured since alot of us deal with Missouri Bullet Company I decided to open a thread to show loads used by THR members used with MBC products. Mods if we get enough posts see if you make this a sticky-

CAUTION: The following post includes loading data beyond currently published maximums for this cartridge. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Neither the writer, The High Road, nor the staff of THR assume any liability for any damage or injury resulting from use of this information.

.40 S&W
IDP #9 155gr swc
cci small pistol
5.2grs W231

Lots of fun in my S&W 4006.

.44 magnum
240gr Elmer K bullet
CCI large pistol
17.5 grs 2400
1.600 OAL

Fun plinking load for 10.5" SBH

.44 magnum
240gr Elmer K bullet
CCI large pistol
19 grs 2400
Crimp on crimp groove
44 Mag Super RedHawk with 9.5" barrel

Good punch 4.5" group at 75 yards.

.357 magnum
158gr Action (SWC)
CCI Small pistol
13.5 grs 2400
Crimp on crimp groove

Nice out of my 6" 357 mag.

Cowboy #16
.358 Diameter
.38 Special
105 Grain TCFP
Brinell 12

4.6 Grains of win 231 nice easy target load:D

dragon68 - do you have a chronograph?
I'd be really interested in speed of both of your loads.

That 44 Mag load has got to be a king-sized boom.
& that 357 load sounds interesting as well.

357 Mag:
158gr Action! SWC
4.5gr Bullseye in 357 cases.

357 Herrett (practice)
158gr Action!
20.0gr I-4198

45ACP:
200gr Bullseye #1 SWC
6.0gr Unique, or 3.7-4.8gr Bullseye, or 5.7gr HP-38.

I had an old jug of Green Dot, and no real matching data, so I started out safe with it based on the lead data I had. Please note, the following data exceeds the max target load listed for LSW in an old Alliant Reloaders Guide.

200gr IDP#4-XD
5.0gr Green Dot
WLP primer

Avg 715fps

So based on that and the Lyman 49th, I wouldn't hesitate to push it up to 6.0 gr Green Dot. The recipe that appears closest to a match shows a max of 6.4gr, but I'd need to chronograph that all the way up to see what it's doing before I'd try to push based on data for a completely different bullet design.

Hondo I do not have a chronograph yet(my next to do) lol. But yes they are a strong mag load for lead.I plan on using the 44 for pig hunting and the 357 is a taurus 669 with 6" barrel i bought new 20 years ago(at Wal mart lol) that i love to shoot. With that load i can nail a tennis ball at 50 yards almost every shot :).

200 Gr LSWC (More Bullets IDPA 1):

W231 - 5.6 Gr makes 870 FPS average

WST - 4.5 Gr no velocity data yet, but very clean and soft shooter.

DISCLAIMERS, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK, ETC.

9mm:
MBC 125 grain "smallball" LRN (mine are sized .358" for my .357 bore 9mms)
3.7gr Red Dot
CCI 500
1.09" OAL
Accurate and reliable in SIG P226 and Beretta 92FS

.40 S&W
MBC IDP #5 180 grain TCFP (also works with IDP #7 140 gr TCFP)
4.0 grains Red Dot
1.125" OAL
CCI 500
Works fine, accurate, light recoil. I don't have a chrony but the the 140 grain likely won't make major if that matters

.45 ACP
230 "Softball!" RN
4.0 or 4.4gr Red Dot, or 5.6 or 6.0 grains Herco (all are accurate, herco 6.0 is most accurate for me)
1.24" OAL
CCI 300
excellent plinker/target/action load. (The 4.0 load may not cycle a Glock 30 reliably one handed)

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
NON-PUBLISHED DATA!
EXCEEDS MAXIMUM LOADS!
WILL MAKE YOUR DOG DRINK OUT OF THE TOILET!

.32-20WCF

Missouri Cowboy #6 (100 gr)
7.2 gr VV N350
WSP primer

good small game load in my Ruger Blackhawk

still working on a load for the 72 gr I bought for .32 S&W Long

.40 S&W
170gr LSWC
8.1gr No. 7

Caution: near max load per Accurate Data for 175gr bullet. Shoots very accurately/cleanly in my XD-40 4".

9mm Subsonics

I haven't seen this one listed yet and it's my favorite.

147gr Subsonic
4.8 gr or .34 disk setting HS-6
Sm pistol primer
1.078

Accurate and very mild shooting in any of my 9mm pistols. Brass lands in a pile a few feet from me.

Doesn't anybody shoot rifle here ?
How about some nods for the whitetail 135 & 165 for 30-30 ? Would like to see what others are shooting....

I bought some #2 Whitetail (135 gr., .309 dia.), but I don't have much brass to play with at the moment..

I load the 165 grain Whitetail like this for a fun plinker:

MBC 165 grain Whitetail
Primer of your choice
10.5 grains (or as much as you can fit into the 2.2cc scooper that comes with the Lee dies) of Trailboss

This is good for about 1200 fps. Cheap, low recoil and report, punches neat holes in paper and destroys milk jugs at 50 yards

Here's my 9mm plinker load:

MBC Parabellum
115 grain LRN
4.5 grains (one .5cc scoop) of Unique

Cheap cheap cheap. I can load these for about ten cents using recycled brass and they work great. I'm glad my pistol has adjustable sights, though. Different POI from factory ammo.

MBC 357 Action 158 gr LSWC
Mixed 38 Special brass
5.8 gr Alliant Power Pistol
Bullet seated to crimp grove
medium / heavy crimp

Good +p load that closely duplicates recoil of Factory Winchester Super X 158 Gr LSWCHP in both Ruger GP100 4" and S&W 640-3 2 1/8". I can keep them all in the black at 50' with the Ruger shooting double action, not so much with the Smith.

MBC PPC#2 148 gr DEWC
Mixed 38 Special brass
2.9 gr Alliant Bullseye
Bullet seated to crimp grove
Very light crimp (just enough to remove the flare)

Accurate in both the Ruger & Smith. Makes it easy to run through 200 rounds a session in the little J - frame
