I own about 20 or so folders, but the Benchmade Mini Griptillian is by far my favorite and most carried. It just seems like the perfect size and blade shape (i prefer the plain edge) for my EDC needs. The 154CM steel holds an edge well while not being too tough to sharpen, and I'm a huge fan if the BM axis lock. I like this knife so much I just bought another last night, this one with sand colored scales and black blade finish, can't wait for it to arrive. Does anybody else love this knife?

Probably a couple...gazillion.;)

The BM Mini Griptillian is one of the most frequently recommended folders in threads here in NFW.

I don't have one anymore.

When the first Griptilion came out, it was supposed to be direct competition for the Spyderco Clipit, and priced accordingly.
Around $35+ bucks or so.

I bought one for myself and one for my son right after they came on the market.

The pocket clips pulled off of both of them repeatedly.
I got tired of fooling with sending them back for replacement, and I moved on up the food chain to more expensive Benchmade models.

I've never tried them again.

I like my mini-Grip a lot. Very well made and smooth, but truth be told I don't carry it all that often. Of my BM's my favorite to carry is my mini Barrage.

How did the pocket clips pull off? They are attached with 3 screws.

I like mine so much that I bought a second. They are a good every day carry folder.
Agree. Pretty much an ideal size and the 154CM blade steel is top notch. Holds an edge well and is not too hard to sharpen.

BM runs the 154CM pretty high so while it can be tough to sharpen without the proper equipment, it is good stuff nonetheless. I don't see how the pocket clip could pull loose on the current models, big or small, because they have metal inserts they thread in to.

A lot of people complain about the plastic scales and while not as premium feeling or looking as others like G-10 or micarta, it works fine. I liken it to the polymer in use by Glock and others. Plus, both sizes use liners to reinforce the grip area, but really to support the AXIS-Lock mechanism.

The Griptillian is BM's bread and butter for a reason and my personal favorite folding knife.

My first Benchmade was (is) a mini grip. It's pretty beat up but there is no wiggle, the axis lock is as solid as ever and the thing holds an edge. My next Benchmade is a spring assist mini barrage, it's slightly bigger. I love these knives, if I am awake one or the other is on me or within reach.

I love that little knife. Unscrewed the clip and just carry it in my pocket now. It's light-weight and rounded enough that you forget it's there.

Sometimes a designer gets all the proportions just right, and the end result comes out greater than the sum of the parts.
