Looking at the Glock KB thread, I was wondering about other models and how well they support the round in the chamber.

Let's try to keep this confined to the 9mm and .40 cal, but all are welcome.

All makes and models welcome, including Glocks and how they have improved or not.


Pictures will be most helpful...in fact we really need them, so please try to post pics showing the support your handgun offers.
 
If there's really a systemic problem, wouldn't you think I'd have unpleasantly "discovered" it, during my firing of over 300,000 rounds of my reloads through my several Glocks?? Never had one fire out-of-battery yet. I don't/won't reload .40s. Big difference between a .40 and a 10mm.

My 10mm has "loose" chamber. Every spent factory case has visible ring about 3mm above bottom edge of brass. I don't reload so it doesn't bother me at all.

You bring up a good point...what would be interesting to know, though impossible to track, is the amount of rounds fired through every Glock in a certain caliber and compare to other handguns and look for the same malfunction. If the glocks have fired significantly more rounds then it would make sense that the larger sample size would indicate more of these type of events than other pistols thus it seems as though there is a problem that really doesnt exist exclusively in the Glocks.

Maybe that's already been done kinda...

What I mean is, out of how many millions of 9mm and .40S&W Glocks (17/22, 17L, 19/23, 26/27, 34/35) that have been fired in the last two and half plus decades since the pistol's introduction, how many have actually blown a case?

I gotta believe that the number is just a fraction of a fraction of a percent...but I doubt that Glock is gonna release those numbers anytime soon.
 
It isn't unique to Glock. People used to get "Super-faced" pushing .38 Super 1911s to make Major.
