M&P 45c

There is no C.

45 is slightly bigger than 40. You can tell if you have them side by side, but if you just see one M&P from the distance it's not that easy to say whether it's 40 or 45.

The 45c is much closer in size to a Glock 19. There's no similarity between the size of the 9c/40c and the 45c.

That said, the 45c is a great shooter. If you have no objection to carrying something that particular size as opposed to a 9c/40c, I'd highly recommend it.

Dab from My experience the 45c has about the same size and feel as a glock 19 in the size. Holds 8 rounds with the pinky ext mag or flush whichever you prefer. As you probably already know the 9 and 40 C's are close in size to the baby glocks. The 45c has about a half inch longer length. It has the same size slide as the medium or regular M&P 45 (4" Barrel). So to answer your question it is a bit bigger then the 40c in both grip and slide length. I have not shot it but find it fairly comfortable to hold sing as you can if you have smaller hands get all 3 fingers on it or closer to than the regular M&P 45. Honestly IMO if you are a large enough guy to hide a full size M&P 45 (I'm talking the 4" barrel not the longslide 4.5) Then I would go with the two extra rounds better grip since the slide length on the normal and 45C's are the same. However if that slightly shorter grip helps you conceal it just a bit better then go with the 8 round C. I would try and get one of each in your hand first to decide. My .02

Could you please clarify? I see no "C" engraved on the slide in the picture you linked to.

If you look on the description on the page s&w does list it as Model 45c

My guess is since the only difference between that and their standard frame non longslide model is a smaller frame they use the same engraving for the slides saves on time and production. Why engrave two slides of equal dimensions and differentiate them when they can go on either gun, makes no sense. The model is defined by the shorter frame.

Watson, I still don't follow. The dimensions you quoted confirm that M&P45c is slightly larger than M&P40c, just like I said.

The M&P 45c DOES EXIST, but there is no letter "c" engraved on the slide, the slide is marked:

"M&P45" not "M&P45c"

How well are the M&P45s holding up? I'd like to get one. I'm just a little disconcerted by the design of the trigger blade.
Having the trigger safety existing as the lower 2/3 of the trigger, and pivioting on the top of the trigger, I can see a potential for the pivot pin hole cracking and leaving you with a useless gun.
Am I overthinking it, or are there cases of this occurring?

If articulated trigger were to break you would have a gun with very short, but working trigger. I have not heard of this happening, though.

You are more likely to experience weakened magazine springs, broken striker, or sear sticking in the low position due to excessive carbon buildup under it. Still rare.

Some people complain about extractor and accuracy, but those complaints seem to only apply to the 9mm version.

The most common breakage in M&P45c is white dot falling out of the front sight. Can be fixed with a drop of Testors paint.

I believe the sticker on the box said M&P45C. I could be wrong though...
