A few days ago I bought my first & only 1911; NIB $1048. The next day took it to Indoor Range. I'm very, very pleased w/light trigger pull, feels great in my hand, IMO a work of heart. Shot very well. The thumb safety easy access & grip safety (same as my XD) I like. This little jewel is a keeper.

Yup, sweet ain't she?

It's definitely one well put together 1911. I fell in love with mine the first trip to the range. I got a couple tiny tiny complaints about mine, but nothing worth worrying over, the internal lock is silly, I don't see the point of the peep hole in the chamber, and I wish they used standard screws on the grips... But whatever, awesome gun!

I've shot two EMPs---liked 'em a lot---but they are heavy for their size---so I went with the much lighter Walther PPS 9mm and also my HK P2000 9mm.

Good looking pistol. I'd love to have one in my collection. Is this a carry gun, range toy, etc?

Congratulations on the new piece. My wife carries the same gun every day and loves it. It has been flawless with an assortment of fmj, reloads, and the 124gr +p gold dots she carries for SD.

Well, all my handguns are in an EDC rotation based on weather related attire. With that said, I rotate which guns I take to the Range. At present, my EMP is "the" EDC of choice. The EMP is a pleasure to shoot at the Range. For such a small size very little recoil. The grip is outstanding. I'm very picky with two main criteria; light trigger pull & compact or subcompact.

Respect your opinion, but we are polar opposites on such. The Walther PPS was my CHL class/range gun. Never gave me any problems. Nonetheless, never liked the flat grip, no matter the backstrap. So, I sold it. BTW, love my PPQ40.

Regards to EMP, the weight is not that noticeable to me and would account for the light recoil of a small handgun.
