Awesome trigger discipline under pressure!

OK ... Messing with those bodyguards is now on my short list of "Things to Never Do."

Those look like some REAL unpleasant people. :)

Couple more I found:

And our favorite dude with the incredibly long index finger back again for a second appearance:

If you do an image search for "President Julius Malema security detail" and wade through the mountain of images out there, occasionally you'll find some of his security detail.

EVERY picture I've seen shows them all with sharply, and properly, indexed trigger fingers.

Those guys look pretty well trained. One quick OODA loop away from .. well, blowing someone away.

The big question is with the stock folded on that side, how quickly will the be able to flip the safety lever down to actually USE those weapons.

Look at the pictures closer and you'll see how they get around that little detail.

I'm not sure I understand the point of this thread? So, some guy is holding a rifle with his finger properly off of the trigger and out of the trigger guard, and this is said to be something special? Is it special because he has a stupid look on his face?

We train our 21-year-old recruit officers to do the very same thing before they ever pick up a firearm on our range at work; then we drill that into them until they don't forget it on the range. 18-year-old military grunts learn the same thing in boot camp.

Anyone with any type of reasonably professional formal firearms training knows to handle their guns like this.

Feel better now?

Look on his face isn't stupid, he looks like he saw a ghost. Did you have a point?

I think his point was your original post wasn't clear regarding whether you were being sincere or ironic about the trigger control. That's all.

Now go have a friend take your picture while you yell at them, "Get away from the car!" as loud as you can. Repeat it several times. Mean it. And make sure they increase the camera's frame advance to highest setting so they're getting about thirty shots a second.

Then take a look. There'll be a shot or two where you look like you saw a ghost, even though that isn't how you were feeling.

I was wondering how you would load the gun if the stock folded on the same side as the charging handle, but now I see that the stock folds under the handle so the clearance is there.

Okay, I'll play.

Is this really a gun related thread just because someone holding a gun had a stupid look on his face? And, as someone already pointed out, it wasn't quite clear if you were trying to make a sincere point about this guy properly indexing his weapon, or simply posting a picture of a guy with a ridiculously stupid look on his face.

Anyway, that's all. He looks ridiculous. I get it now. Carry on.

Okay, I'll play too.

Colorado Kevin, you'll notice that most of the people here are so dreadfully and fiercely interested in the exact nature of the galil variant and its professional mode of employ that they are utterly blind to thinly veiled racial humor.

That, or they're trying mightily to prevent a few people from making any more tasteless jokes about how comical and/ or mentally deficient they believe the original subject, and anyone who shares his color, to be. Personally, I lost it at "I wonder if these two are related".

These things happen from time to time, even on THR. I'm sure it presents a marvelous impression of us as a group to outsiders. Maybe next time, they could make fun of Asians or Arabs or something, just to break out of the rut. That would be hilarious.

OK, I said it. I'm done now. Continue.

I guess I'm too thick to pick up the racist theme. I think we all realize that the camera's shutter can be very unkind. Are you trying to say no one would post the photo and start the same thread if the bodyguard was white? I have a hard time believing that.

Sooooo, in the picture you can see the safety is in the down position while they're standing guard. That's all set to fire correct? I can't remember on an AK.
