In Oregon no gun signs have the force of law.

Does anyone here know if the Clackama Town Center where the shooting took place was posted with "No Gun" signs?

According to a member on the Open Carry forum who has been there, there are 'rules' signs inside the main mall entrances, but not store entrances.

I can't find anything else online that shows any of these signs, nothing on the mall's website, or the mall owner's website.

Yes, just not well. As is Lloyd Center in NE Portland. I don't recall if Washington Square is posted, but I'll hazard to guess "yes"

I'll admit to willfully ignoring the signs, and after recent events I feel quite vindicated by my little act of concealed rebellion.

Signs or not. Past proof has shown these sicko clowns have no regard for the law let alone any no guns allowed signage. He had and used a stolen BR!!!! You think he gave a damn about any prohibitive signs or in braking any laws?

NOT

It is hard for me to analyze someone walking into or around anywhere, let alone into a crowded mall, according to the recent reports, dressed in military style fatigues carrying an AR15 donning a Friday the 13th Jason style hockey mask unnoticed and daunting no auspicious attention? Until he opened fire ?? !! ?? :banghead:

What's up with that? Has our society turned into a bunch of ostriches? Walking around with our faces buried in our cell phones, being that preoccupied with texting, gaming, talking, or surcharging apps?

I know something like that, I FOR ONE WOULD SURLY NOTICE, and EYE would be wondering; what the hell is this? And on the phone with 911 in a heart-beat, while following at a safe inconspicuous distance.

But then....woolf....I'm a sheep dog....woolf....and that would wave a....woolf....Red-Flag too me! :scrutiny:

Pretty sure when people ask a question like that in this situation, they are thinking of the implications on CCW'ers who could have responded to the situation if they'd been carrying.

Unfortunately . . . yes to your question. America was founded as a nation of independent thinking, hard working, adventure risking people. Someone who was not born into wealth or position could come to America and if they had enough brains, heart, and guts could make a life for themselves. This was far different from the rest of the world. America had among the highest literacy rates and people who could think.

Now we are a nation of t.v. watching fools who ape the opinions expressed on the 'idiot box' and think themselves 'trendy'. (I recently spoke with a middle aged moron who proudly said he liked to 'keep up with things' and bought the latest Apple gadget. I told him he just bought it, he didnt design the thing.)

Every opportunity will be used to attack the 2nd Amendment, including this event. Ask most people and they couldnt tell you what the 2nd Amendment is, or much at all about the Constitution or our history. Public 'education' has been designed to make Americans this way. (Web search 'John Taylor Gatto' and 'Charlotte Iserbyt' for more info on this).
