I got a little caught by surprise on the hysteria as of late. Would anyone here know of ANY retailers or private parties that have any .223 brass? I need a couple thousand if I can get it. I know this isn't the classifieds, pardon me if I'm out of line here. Thanks

Hang out at the shooting ranges over the next few months. With all the new AR's and the buying up of all the ammo, there will be a lot of newbies out at the ranges who will be leaving brass behind them.

Just be sure to duck when you get swept!

Once the snow melts down at my range, I'll see if there is much brass laying around... There usually is. The range only allows factory ammo but they let me grab what's in front of the firing line

I can get bags of 1xf ( mainly mil ) 200+ cts for $30 as of yesterday.

100 new for same.....

Lemme know by PM, and if you want it, and can pay for shipping, I'll help a loader in need !

I really need small rifle primers and a new decapping pin for my dies...
Good luck on small rifle primers. If you find some pm me please. I'm in need of some as well
Believe it or not Powder Valley still has Tula SR primers in stock and they have .223 Tula primers too. I'm not a fan of foreign primers but if I were out of them, I guess any port in a storm applies. They are also still cheap @ $20/k and #20.50/k respectively.

I'm guessing that stock won't last long though since everyone seems hell-bent on creating a self induced shortage.

As others have said, I get most of my .223 brass from those that shoot it and don't want it anymore at my range. Lots of people don't reload, and my gun club appreciates those of us that want to clean up the brass. I also get a lot of once fired 9MM and .45 which helps reduce the cost or reloading.

Im waiting for all those that panicked to realize they cant pay bills because of their new purchases. And will wait to see when prices are below where they bought them because the
market flooded with brass and firearms. When there is a D behind the presidents name, good rule of thumb, gather supplies before "it" hits the fan. I hope all that are looking for components can find some.

Diamond K Brass had some in stock last I checked but they were nice enough to more than double their price compared to two weeks ago.

I don't really *need* more .223 brass, but I wouldn't mind some. I wildcat 2 different cartridges using .223 brass and keeping a handful of rifles fed in 3 different cartridges that all use the same case taxes the supply.

After 2009 and an incumbent rarely loses the presidential race, I started planning back in 2010 for 2012. I did not expect the events in CT but I'm set for a while.

So, at least I am one less panic buyer out there--like that will make a difference for the rest.

$169.00 plus shipping per 1000...Ouch, I'll pass.
You do realize that's fully processed brass, right?

Cleaned, de-crimped, sized and trimmed.

While I like doing my own, it's not a quick or easy task even with good equipment. Some people would rather just load and shoot. For them, this is a good option.

Yes I do, I got that today for $72 shipped thanks to Walkalong. I think I got a great deal! I'd like to publicly thank Walkalong for the hookup.

I have to comment about Top Brass....I bought 1000 .223's from them, and impressed just isn't the right word! Yes, they may be pricey, but this brass was beautiful, perfectly polished, sized and trimmed. All I had to do was prime them and fill 'em up. Well worth it, IMO, considering all the time it saved me. You can also get 'em primed and ready for powder & bullets. And don't forget, you'll still have the brass forever, or until you wear it out.

I certainly wouldn't hesitate to order from them again, if I needed more brass or wanted to build up an inventory of reloads quick and easy. It takes a helluva lot of time to deprime, clean & polish, resize, trim to length, bevel & chamfer 1000 cases by yourself. Not to mention dealing with primer crimps on milsurp brass. Certainly worth a few extra bucks to me. And I even have a Giraud trimmer.

Top Brass is near where I live, I don't pay freight. I've seen the operation, shhhhh, don't tell anybody. Keep it a secret just my secret supplier.
