On a more serious note, I think there's a little tin-foil-hattery on that rant, but I agree with the general premise - the people in office who want to enact an AWB are doing so to further a political agenda that does not line up with the Constitution.
 
That sort of rant makes us all look bad.

A well thought out and presented argument would have served the community much better.
 
Well, maybe. I personally think that the time of politically correct responses is over. These guys have created a perfect society for the ruling class in this country. Maybe we are approaching that time in history where we have to retake our country from these thieves.

There are only two ways to influence humans to do something: logic or force.

Unless you plan on an armed insurrection, then "logic" has to be used to influence opinions.

Logical, rational arguments are very different than "politically correct responses"....and both of those are different than what is printed in that ad.

If we plan on convincing Americans and elected representatives to preserve our rights, then profanity-laced rants aren't going to do much except make the person who wrote it feel better. It most definitely won't influence someone's opinion to change.

I agree. We need to use tactful language during this critical time. These words can be used against us in the court of public opinion.
 
It's the God given right of the owner of that website to say what he feels needs to be said whether you agree or now. Whether you think it helps or not. Personally I agree with him or her. The time for PC is over.

To who? Wayne Lapierre presented a well thought out cordial but firm statement and was still labeled a blood thirsty neanderthal by countless Liberals. Visit the Democratic Underground and see what courtesy gets you, it's like trying to negotiate with rabid hyenas.

You and I will just have to disagree, myself I'm sick and tired of getting labeled a lunatic by the likes of Diane Feinenstein et al and don't intend to just smile and talk softly in reply.

That was great. While I normally agree with having a logical "PC" statement, the time may be over for that.
 
Agreed. They don't play fair. I've had conversations with middle grounders and anti's, they're not very nice about their views. Time we put our foot down.
 
I agree with the thought.
But the language makes them and us look rabid......
Not what is needed at this moment.
Maybe tomorrow (I hope not), but not right now.

I think its high time for some civil disobedience. What if a bunch of gun owners went out and protested the theft of their rights? I mean has that happened ever?
 
We need to start a campaign to ban cars, they kill countless children every year, probably more than in CT.

Swimming pools need to be banned. Lots of accidental drownings when pools are unsupervised (try locking one of them in a safe).

Enforce driving while impaired laws. Yea, right, how many elected officials go around half in the bag and are turned loose by the arresting officers.

An awful lot of children are being injured in high school sports, some even die. If one death is too many, we must ban high school sports. Like that is going to happen.

Put a stop to bullying in the schools and on the internet. Again, one death is too many to accept.

The list could go on.

None of the above are hot button topics and get the media attention they deserve. The numbers just are not big enough for our elected officials and media to care.

Rant off.
