I have two replicas of these revolvers. Both of mine have the square backed triggerguard. Anyone else have a square backed pocket revolver?

If your guns have a stagecoach hold-up scene on the cylinder they are 1849 Pocket's as the early ones had the square-back trigger guard. If the cylinder scene is riders on horses then it would be a Baby Dragoon most of which were made with no loading lever.
This is a picture of a Baby Dragoon repro with the loading lever:

Nice photo and it answers my next question. Mine have very small trigger guards. So small it is difficult to get my finger in prior to firning. I wondered if all the square backed ones were the same, apparently not!

An older photo of mine.

I believe you can see the guards are a bit on the small size.

While I know that COLT never threw away anything they could put in somewhere else, you are referring to replicas which are not Colts so they could have any feature.

I don't think the 1849 Pocket had a square backed trigger guard. That was the 1848 Wells Fargo, the 1851 Navy, and maybe one of the older .44 Dragoon models. The 1849 Pocket had round trigger guards as far as I've seen.

Actually, Colts could be had with a variety of features. Whatever the customer would pay for. There are many 1851s with factory barrels shorter than 7 1/2". Triggerguards round or square, etc. But yes, as I mentioned, I was specifically referring to the replicas of the small framed revolver originally produced by Colt.
