Looking for a Handgun Rack

I have some foam ones from Midway that I like, I think they're HySkore brand.
Look for the ones made of sandwiched foam with rods holding them in place. They're somewhat modular as well, you can combine them or make little 1-2 gun racks.

They accept just about anything, you could pull out a foam layer to make them lower profile for the thinner guns, even.

Look at the vinyl coated wire dish racks at Target or Walmart. Just a few bucks and the wires can be bent somewhat for size of gun. At least it might suffice while you wait on whatever else you're looking for.

I have a rack by Armory Racks.

I love it.

It's coated so that the barrel can't be harmed by the metal - my bores are no worse for being stuck on them. They come with some polymer caps for the ends of the wires, too - for extra protection.

I also opted for the plastic tray as I find it convenient to put odds and ends in it, under the pistols. Mags and mag parts, for example.

I've used it for 1911's, 9mm's, 22LR's (without orange caps on the wire), CZ82, P64's.

I like the Hyskore stackable 7 gun rack.

Go to Midway and search pistol racks, they should have something you like.

I have one of the racks made by Rick at Manaboutracks. Yes you will wait a little bit but you will not find a better rack. And I have no connection to them just a very satisfied customer.

"racks designed for the guns to be stored upside down like that one won't work if the gun has a scope."

Turn the gun over.

I have some scoped K-frames, the largest is a S&W 17-4 with an 8.375" barrel and a 2x Burris scope. And there's another long barrel too, a S&W 647 .17HMR with a MicroDot on it They've been sitting scope side up for years - February of 2007 to be exact. That's when my father decided to move them to THE HOME on short notice and gave me all his guns. No, we gave some to his brother too. He was 84 and couldn't chase my mother down when she ran - Alzhiemer's.

I have 3, 4, 6 and 7 gun wire racks with multiples of some sizes. The best thing I ever did was buy one extra for the workbench and one extra for the laundry tub (on a board) in the unfinished basement. If I want to spray cleaner or Barricade I let it drain on newspaper over the sink. It also confines most of the stink to the end of the basement near the door.

Unless you're making or commisioning your own custom rack, you may have to come to terms with a rack not accepting oddball guns like oversized scoped wheelguns.

Find something that fits everything else and worry about the SRH after you have everything else sorted out.

With the Hyskore, the barrel of my 6" 686 is about 1 inch from touching the bottom of the surface that it is sitting on. Some guns may lean to one side in it because of the width of the gun or rest area.

I've been using rack from Dean Safe, they suspend from the shelf. Also bought Velcro backed nylon holster that I attach to safe door, work great giving me plenty of extra room.
