Interesting that Ebay hasn't abandoned magazine sales

I noticed that as well, along with gun parts and accessories. Must be enough of us whose money makes a difference?

I hope they don't...I am on the hunt for one that's scarcer than hen's teeth.

Don't think for a second that they are actually allowing them. I got my auction canceled. I think there are just more people selling than they can keep up with.

Now if only there was some semblance of sanity there...

EBay specifically states in their policy that magazines with a capacity larger than 10 are prohibited. If they see it or someone reports it, they will cancel your auction. I had mine pulled twice and both times I got an email explaining why. 2 totally different reasons. One saying my item was part of an assault weapon and the other was the magazine capacity was larger than 10. They put my account on a low policy compliance for my pulled auctions!

EBay can't police every one, so some do get by.

I was looking to pick up a couple, and they are out there, for at least 3X what I paid for them two weeks ago, up to 5X. The $840 AR I bought two weeks ago is not about double that. It's crazy. I noticed that Ebay apparently allows "magazine repair kits" that contain all the parts of the mag they are meant to "repair". I had to laugh when I saw that.

Wow, wish I had gotten some more mags before.
I could sure stand to sell them off at $2500 a pop.

Now if only there was some semblance of sanity there...

Holly cow... either someone isnt getting paid for their auction or someone has way more dollars than sense...

They are in the business to make money. Unless there is some sort of ban of mags, sales will continue.

It is odd how some of the auctions make it through, the PMAGS i put up were pulled in just a few hours. I'd imagine there are people just sitting around searching / reporting to ebay all the >10rd mags they can find to have them pulled

the higher the price the larger thier cut, thier not looking out for the 2A, just thier bottom line.

I've been having fun looking all the ways people list 'AK magazines' on eBay this week. Some very inventive titles and descriptions...and prices!
No, I don't report anyone. I do my business, they can do theirs however they want.

Then again, I have also found some decent buys for 'normal' pistol mags on Ebay lately.
Bought a couple off eBay on New Years Eve, while most folks were searching for 'hi-cap' stuff.

After the incident at Virginia Tech Ebay announced a policy of not allowing auctions on "anything that makes a gun shoot" and would not even allow the sale of brass. Did they change that?? I have been noticing a few parts at auction there but just thought they had not noticed those auctions.

I found it to be ironic as at that time you could not buy a firing pin for a 1911 on Ebay with which you could hurt no one unless you stuck it in their ear but could but a baseball bat which could kill many people.

ebay makes money based on the final value of a sale. Prices shoot up, so does ebay revenue. Since they rely on end users to report prohibited items, they can continue to make money on items they prohibit and keep their image intact.

Yeah, about that, Ive had my auctions deleted like 5 times now, im waiting out my second suspension from them. They don't like full capacity mags for some reason, to them they are assault weapons in and of themselves.

I was listing ten AR mags, right before I posted it, an identical lot went for 500$
Im tempted to relist it as "modern art"

Yes and no

Anything can be listed, but the filters usually find items they don't allow. I have bid on several ar mags in the last few weeks and only one made it to the end....all others were cancelled by eBay for unspecified violations.

I guarantee that some that want theirs to sell at a higher price are flagging the competition.
