This is very interesting. It's a HUGE list of school shootings in the U.S. Click on any particular "School Shooting" to see the source and it's link. It's remarkable how many young people are on these psychotropic drugs. It's like "Mind Candy" but with disastrous results.


It's a little easier to understand when you can see it in a list......Rx drugs..... are the real problem

On the email I recieved, you are able to click on each incident, and get the original story that went along with it, they are all legit.
 
The video lists Ultram/Tramadol as a psychotropic drug in its summary info. It's an artificial opioid, a pain killer. If they can't get that little bit straight, I have to question the rest of their information.
 
I'm no fan of psychs or pills. It's a good idea to avoid both. But evidence that the spree killers were almost all insane doesn't mean the psych meds made them that way or drove them to kill. Without something showing a clear link to a specific med, the pills are more likely to be evidence of underlying mental problems not really a cause of them.
 
Just curious, but how much do you know about psychology, psychiatry, or drugs, gym? This is a very complicated issue that one youtube video cannot do justice to.

Actually, Ultram does have potential side effects that you must be careful with. I have prescribed Ultram to dozens if not hundreds of patients, and you do need to observe for potential serotonin induced side effects:

Tell your doctor right away if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: mental/mood changes (such as agitation, confusion, hallucinations), severe stomach/abdominal pain, difficulty urinating.

Get medical help right away if any of these rare but serious side effects occur: fainting, seizure, slow/shallow breathing, unusual drowsiness/difficulty waking up.

This medication may rarely cause a very serious condition called serotonin syndrome. The risk increases when this medication is used with certain other drugs (see Drug Interactions section). Get medical help right away if you develop some of the following symptoms: hallucinations, unusual restlessness, loss of coordination, fast heartbeat, severe dizziness, unexplained fever, severe nausea/vomiting/diarrhea, twitching muscles.

Perhaps the folks on these meds had a psychological condition requiring "treatment." Psychiatry is a very subjective and theoretical "science" with many opposing views on optimal treatments. The fact that they were all on meds may simply indicate their level of mental illness.

Its still a better direction than where the msm is taking it ' Just having guns made them do it'
 
Exactlly, it ties the mental illness into the hanus acts, rather than guns. Concerning psycology, psyciatry, and drugs, I know quite a bit. Having a step daughter who is a shrink, and having been disabled, since 99, and told that all people in pain automaticlly should be on anti depressants, after 6 months. When I asked why, she told me it was a natural thing to become depressed when you suffer an injury, so she sent me home with a few hundred pills, which I threw in the trash.
I found that exercise of any type is far better than the side effects of these drugs that are dispensed to everyone who complains about anything.
This goes right back to our education system where half the kids who misbehave are said to have adhd. when realy all they need is an hour a day of exercise.
My aunts all in their 90's now, 1, just passed, at 95 , 4 more from 89-99, have all been loaded up with these meds, by doctors who never even looked at their history. I took one off the stuff she was getting from 5 different doctors, and she slept for the first time in years.
This countyrs health care system has more than most folks think, to do with what we are seeing now with violence in general.
 
No offense to anyone here, but a bunch of people crying foul in medical prescription practices is pretty close to a bunch of anti with no gun experience demanding change in gun laws.

Most of us here are not qualified to make educated comments on this subject. Remember that when you complain that someone than knows nothing about guns calls for change in our community, what's good for the goose is.............

I don't know. Sure, we're not doctors, but I don't think this is stretching reality, to interpolate that side effect printed on the drug fact sheets might actually be aggravating underlying conditions or causing people to tweak out and do violent things. If you look at the warnings for side effects from pretty much all of the psych drugs, they warn of violent behavior and risk of suicide, amongst other things. They may have an underlying condition, but you wouldn't get warned that it might get worse if it wasn't a result of the drug. If they have to print this stuff on the label, it's not because it might happen, it's because it has happened to various people taking said drug.
 
I think its interesting that just about every commercial for these antidepresents say, "If you have thoughts of suicide see you doctor." This means that they do see these thoughts as a side effect. Kinda odd that almost no one is calling for a congressional investigation.

I sit corrected. It still seems odd to list it with a bunch of psychoactive drugs intended to treat psychological problems.

I've got a bottle sitting on my desk, prescribed for pain. Gives me a couple of negative side effects. I can't seem to tolerate it or Vicodin.
