Nationwide show of unity January 19th: Go to your statehouse.

I'm fully supportive of a united national effort to get everyone out as a show of unity on any day we can. But from a practical point of view organizing that and getting the word out in a week will be tough. I own several companies and trying to get my employees to coordinate and attend a large meeting in a week is often a bridge too far. I just think it makes sense to pick a day far enough out to get really good publicity. Get it into shotgun news, let Knox and their guys push it and write about it get the NRA to email blast it maybe put in their mags. Get fox to pick it up etc.

Having it on short notice we lack the ability to reach everyone and for them to schedule it and spread the word. Too far out we lose enthusiasm. I think that 3 weeks is just about right.
 
I respectfully disagree. We need to stand strong and the sooner the better because the congress is scheming as we speak. Stand now or it may be too late.

I think we are all pulling in the same direction, but consider this in February there is time to get posters at every range and in every gun shop. Email blasts from NRA, GOA, JFPO etc.

With 5 or 6 days notice we'll be lucky to have a handful of people with 3 weeks we have a better chance for thousands. Also nothing is going to be voted on before that so its not like it'll be too late, it'll actually be closer to whenever the political class is voting on it.
 
I'm going. I suggest doing what I plan to do. Invite every pro gun person you know. Offer a ride to as many as you can. Make an event of it with your friends or shooting buddies. It is short notice. However the date is set so spread the word! My goal is to get at least ten others to go. I feel that is a pretty reasonable goal. I feel like five should be absurdly easy.
 
Not sure, but I don't think they got a statehouse up here in Idaho. Don't think we need one any hows, the whole state is filled with enough rednecks to tip us off the continents already. I dunno, but D.C. don't think we are even part of the continental US.
 
We'll be heading down to Phoenix to attend. This will be my first rally. I'm not much for rallying, but I think this is important.
 
Depending on how I feel (not whimsy, but been sick) I plan on attending in Washington. I just hope I can find it. Never done a rally either, but this is a cause I actually care about.
