How do you store your Glock?

I keep mine in a kydex holster too - but I keep it loaded/chambered. I have a Raven Concealment pocket holster and IWB holster. When I'm home, it stays in my nightstand. When I leave the house it's on my person, but I work for a company with strict corporate no firearms policy so it stays in my truck when I'm in the office.

Well mine isn't part of my EDC routine so I leave it unloaded in a spare tupperware container Glock sent me. It's worked well enough with no trace of rust or dust on the gun over the last 25 years.

I'm a traditionalist-

I keep it in a cookie jar.

It's means don't handle it anymore than necessary. You can't hurt your Glock. You might damage the ammo by multiple loads and unloads. Most common is bullet setback that can cause high pressures when fired.

Mine is stored in its HD location with a round in the chamber and a full mag. I live alone.

Chamber a round, holster the gun, go about your business. Do not unchamber that round unless you need to, meaning: 1) you need to clean the gun, 2) you're going to put it someplace where unauthorized hands can get at it (unwise even with an unloaded gun), 3) you're going to a range that requires that you enter unloaded, or 4) you have to shoot it.

I don't recommend putting a loaded gun into a range bag or any other transport case, ever. It's too easy to screw up. And do not chamber the same round day after day. With deference to the above list, here's no reason to unchamber it in the first place.

Right, unless you develop a method to identify ammo problems.

If you can't leave it loaded in would recommend one of the small safes sold at lowes or home Depot. Lock it away loaded.

If you unloading is the way you want to operate buy one of those firearm clearing devices to trap the bullet if you have an AD.

Yep, just leave it loaded and store it safely. Like pretty much all modern (modern as in designed in the last 100+ years) auto-loaders, your Glock can stay safely loaded pretty much for ever. Chambering and rechambering a round is a good way to get bullet set-back.

A Glock is one of those firearms you have to TRY and damage. Leaving it loaded and ready to go is the safest way to keep it at the ready.

Like others have stated, I would keep it secure in a small safe. My 26 pretty much lives in my truck until I holster it for daily carry. At the end of the work day when I get home, it gets stored in a nanovault and locked up. It's not my HD gun (although it would be just fine for that), and I have a little one at home so the 26 has to be stored safely and out of her reach.

The other guns (and sometimes the Glock) are stored in a key pad safe by my bed ready to go. Anything I think I might NEED is loaded. All the other stuff is locked away in another cabinet unloaded with the ammo and mags locked away in another place.

I keep it at the local gun shop.....it'll be there if I ever feel the need for a Glock.

Truthfully. My G26 is in a jacket pocket hanging up in the garage.

The ones not in my carry rotation are unloaded, in the factory tupperware, in my safe. The CCW guns (30,36,26) are loaded at all times, and either on me or secured in a CA-approved container in my home or vehicle.

My view of Glocks is strictly utilitarian - they are where they need to be to perform their function. If I scratch one or wear the finish off, it's a tool - not a piece of art. If it gets too much "character", I'll send it in for refinishing.

It's not like they're pretty...

its not a baby lol, it's a plastic gun. (i have 2, yes, leave it holstered)

In a safe ... cleaned, properly lubed and ready for the call. Same as all the rest.

I don't really "store" them. They are like any tool, they are just kept where handy.

The G19 is in my car 24/7. Loaded magazine, round in the chamber. Extra loaded magazines handy.

G33 is hanging on a hook in a center room. Full magazie, empty chamber.

G26 is in a safe. Full magazine, empty chamber.

Loaded. Round in the chamber. No holster.

It is just a tool. Treat it like any other utility item. Don't get emotional about it.

I don't own a Glock anymore (but if I can find a good Gen3 19, watch out...), but when I owned my Glock, and now with my XD, they stayed loaded and on my bedstand. I didn't buy the Glock or my XD to be range toys, I bought them to be "combat" guns, and there isn't much use in a combat gun not being combat ready.

Combat, in this case, meaning that they are my main (though not only) home defense weapons.

When mine isn't frozen in a block of ice, I usually store it in a five-gallon bucket of mud or the backyard sandbox.

Kidding of course, I keep it in the box it came in.

If I owned a GLOCK, I'd keep it in the tupperware cabinet, with my tupperware, XDs, and FNP-45.
