Hey y'all,

I'm in the market for a couple pistols, and with all the political mumbo-jumbo going on, obviously everything is in limited supply!

Perhaps - considering a bunch of us are probably thinking the same thing - we should put together a page of links and suggestions for purchasing?

New gun dealers as well as used dealers should certainly be considered. What about companies who import from european purchases, ie: police and military sales?

It never hurts to have a list of resources, does it?

What do you folks think?

CZs, Sigs, Caniks, 9mm mostly. Used doesn't bother me as long as they've been maintained.

The european houses essentially.

I'd love to get my hands on an STI Spartan IV in 9mm, but these days that's right up there with Olivia Wilde showing up at my birthday party.

Bud's Gun Shop online has some good prices.
Uh...not really.

Im currently looking at different shotguns and one im looking at, a remington express model 25077 goes for $299 at wally and at buds is selling the exact same model for over $420.

I'm going to have to agree with Miles on this one - Bud's does have good prices on some things, but in general they are no better than anywhere else.

And, in some cases, they're worse.

But that's just market forces - some of their stuff they buy by the truckload and can thus offer a good price. Other stuff? Well, they're not in business to make everyone happy.

I've heard a lot of folks say they purchased a firearm online only to be told it was out of stock later - and that they were charged either way.

Other suggestions?

Right now call the company before placing orders.. Unfortunately, it seems the panic has overloaded everyone's system. I've gotten the dreaded backorder response a couple times now, so I have been calling them up to ensure its there...

Other than that auction places have plenty.

I'm sitting things out until the craziness and desperate buyers calm down. Now is NOT the time to be buying guns or ammo . . . unless of course you procrastinated and got caught. If so, bring deeeeeeep pockets, lots of patience and be prepared to get screwed, glued and tatooed!!!

I believe that it will come down also. I think the scare hit people pretty hard. I am so glad I bought the things I wanted (all ready and the needs) as well as ammo several years back. For the last couple of years I picked up some here and there, but no panic buying for me. The prices are :what:

This is typical for utility/generic guns like this. Before he got shut down in the last go round, my favorite "kitchen table" FFL would sell me stuff for his cost. He couldn't touch the prices on most of the guns that Wally World sold -- many times their sale price was below what he could get it for from his distributer.

I drove by gun show last weekend. There was NO PLACE to park and that was at southern gun show where 60% of tables do not have single gun on them. I think Cognac is good people are crazzzy!

There are a few online auction sites I use that haven't exactly settled down to normal yet, but aren't going insane like others such as GB and online retailers.

try gunauction.com
and gunsamerica.com
