NJ Govenor Christie / Live Stream / just announced a task force here in NJ to consider the issues of violence, gun control, mental illness and will make decisions in a couple weeks.....says his decision won't be affected by NRA or Brady Campaign but wants to hear from all........Oh well.....here it comes.....the Poached Egg of politics......not soft and not hard boiled...the anti Republican Govenor..IMO.

Yup..............but here, they could find more.....rubber band guns and sling shots are also illeagle here in NJ.

HP bullets arent banned..you can buy them in the stores.

You just cant shoot someone with them in self defense. You have to use soft points :D

Seriously? Ugh, I'm sick and tired off walking on eggshells in this state. Half the police force can't even understand the enormous convoluted mess that we call NJ gun law. The last thing we need is more regulation. We have a list of banned weapons, a features ban that would make Feinstein proud, magazine limits, and a Firearms I.D. system that's dependent on whether or not your local police chief is in a good mood. :banghead:

Doesn't NJ already ban everything including HP bullets?

We can buy HPs but can't be in possession of them unless we are going from a store to a range/hunting ground(can't even cartridge rifle hunt anyway)/denizen and anywhere in between the three with reasonable deviations (which does not include fuel, food or rest). :fire:

Even folding knife carry requires that it be work related or one has in their possession a valid hunting and/or fishing lic. ...I mean what the heck else.............Everything ?

Some Northeastern Republicans seem to on the anti-freedom side. I heard a Hannity interview with Mayor Giuliani, and he was saying that the 1994 AWB was something he agreed with because of all the wonderful compromise.

Now i see why southerners call the civil war the war of northern aggression.I renounce my yankee roots !

No matter what else happened today, I woke up in Texas. More and more, every day is a good day to be a Texan.
And a bill has been introduced here in Texas (H.B. 553) making it a crime for any Texas Peace Officer, State Officer, or State Employee from attempting to enforce any federal gun control in the State.

Wait until Christie in NJ signs even more onerous gun control into law, Obama will be crowing that gun control is "truly a bipartisan issue".

Christie really had us fooled, but the way he handled hurricane Sandy showed his true colors, I'm not shocked he'll turn out to be a gun grabber. Glad us in the free states found out now, before he got any further.

Really, what's left here except..."Hope".....they've taken just about everything....even a NJ state supreme court judge said here a while ago....that our 2A rights and not garanteed in NJ......this place is not good place to raise a family, IMO.....and can't wait to leave.

They'll keep doing a little bit at a time so no one will stand up and fight as their freedom is taken away. Continue the political campaign to retain our freedom until it fails, at which point every man will have to decide if his Country and Constitution are worth fighting for..

Well, that's Texas and Wyoming: Wonder if Jindal and some of the other Southern governors would bless similar legislation in their states? How about Montana? Idaho? Nevada? Enough to make a coalition of states?

Those surprised by Christie shouldn't be: Bloomberg used to be a Republican, too.

Maybe a unilateral background check for politicians by a board of mental health doctors before they are allowed to seek office.

Hollow points would be safer than forcing everyone to use FMJ as they decrease the possibility for collateral damage. Stupid.

Christie's response doesn't surprise me, especially after watching him stab Romney in the back right before the election.

I'll post Christie's contact info as soon as I dig it up.

Hey, here's a novel idea, Christie can have his task force look at all the idiotic laws on the NJ books, quantify which ones actually reduce crime and which ones don't. Eliminate the ones that don't to save money in a fiscally bankrupt state and shift that savings to enforcing the ones that actually do work so the criminals stay locked up.....

Never mind, I was day dreaming. Thank God I moved out of that hell hole 20 years ago. Glad I woke up in Florida this morning.

From what im hearing in Ohio it looks like our govenor won't be adding any new laws of his own.My condolences to NJ.
