Drooling...Love the original wood stock but omg I'm in love!

Like it isn't hard enough to decide what I can afford to get next.

I'm a traditionalist, but M28 just banged on the safe door and told me he wants to try on those pants.

LOVE IT! I need to find a really beat up Mosin and then I can buy one of these stocks - my rifles have very nice stocks and so I'm going to have to go shopping soon.

I like it, $199 msrp though, triple the value of your Mosin overnight, hahaha

I paid $150 for my M-44, and it needs a new stock.

I thought about selling it to fund a .30-06, til I saw this.

I'm clearly in the minority here but God no.
Only saving grace is the 10 round mag. Well that an d it appears to be drop and swap with no permenent effects.
Show me a metal version of 10 round mag that works with original Soviet stock and ill pay to play all day.
No offense to you fans, different strokes for different folkes and all.

That's pretty cool. If I could find a nice top end that shot well, that is definitely on the list for a cheap long range rifle build. My current 91/30 is not very consistent, but she sure is a hoot to blast with.

I also like the fact it's ready for a Timney trigger if desired, and the barrel tension screw vs. free float, nice little features.

Umm. I think I may have to try one of those. I normally don't go for this kind of thing, but this may be an exception.

I'm with Bhi curamach on this one. One of the things I love most about the Mosin is that it is a cheap and useable military surplus rifle. Making a change that drastic to it kind of takes away that appeal. Might as well build a precision rifle from a newer platform that already accepts removable mags, adjustable synthetic stock, etc.

Just my 2 cents and to each his own of course, but I think I'll keep mine in the original wood.

That is pretty cool. I still prefer the original wood; but I guess if I had two mosin laying around I would upgrade one and keep the other original.

Was that an m44? I wonder what it would look like with a full length mosin.

Not many precision high power cartridges are available for $0.16/rd.

It looks like they did something to change the safety, but I'm not sure how they modded it. Hopefully this would not be a permanent cut, or it's a deal breaker. Ideally one could simply leave the existing safety on.

In the case of my M28, the original wood went through at least two wars and is too delicate to take shooting. So it would be nice to have an alternate stock to take out. And this one looks pretty cool. In fact it reminds me of some of the altered Mosin target rifles they've done over in Finland.

Not much of ANYTHING you can get in high power cartridge for $300, either. Much less detachable 10-round magazines and $0.16/rd.

If I am not mistaken, the safety was part of a Timney trigger upgrade. The stock is inletted for the Timney already. No permanent modifications needed and you can still use the stock trigger if you wish. At least that's what I got from the video.

Wow! I'm impressed! It would be more impressive if they were able to figure out a way to add a workable scope mount that doesn't require drilling and tapping into the receiver.
