10mm Club

Welcome to the 10mm club.....carry a Glock 20 as my EDC...have shot the 10mm since it's inception....if you want maximum performance from the 10mm, check out double tap ammo and Corbin....they load the 10mm to it's potential.

CorBon VS. Corbin

I meant CorBon.....Corbin makes the swaging equipment that I use to swage bullets....actually I was just testing everybody to see who was alert.

If you really want to tap 10mm full potential, get into hand loading. You can load down to puff balls and all the way up to the equal, or better in some cases, of the top end commercial fodder. All the time staying within published load data and pressure limits.

The 10mm is a hand loader's dream.

I agree on the reloading. We did 1400 rounds last June, 155 gr HP and 180gr truncated. Both just middle warm, and it's WAY hotter than any commercial plinking ammo. Load some medium hot, not even extreme and it's easily like Corbon, about like the Underwood ammo. I have not loaded any 10mm with maximum book charges. That would be pretty zippy.

Anyway I have a S&W 1006 and Glock 20. I love them both.

I bought a G20 a year ago and am still figuring out how to not shoot way under the target. I have let several people shoot it and they all shoot low with it. Doesn't matter what grains or maufacturer. Glock said they would take care of it. But I don't want to let loose of it until I get the groups a little tighter. Plus I am getting better gripping tighter. Never has jammed, I do love that.

Glock can send you the correct sight to adjust it, but you might have to measure or find if the current sights are marked with a number or letter, so that they have a reference. Any nearby Glock armorer or police armorer might have the sights in stock, also. A common service to correct police issue guns.

Funny your timing.

I bought my G20 in 99, sold it in 2005 and bought it back this week. After years of shoving nuclear 10mm's out of my 610 and my 1911 format 10mm's, I finally went back and got my 10mm G20 with the KKM extended barrel I put in it.

New Delta Elite owner here

Just picked up a Delta Elite in 10mm last week. Have not had the chance to shoot it yet. It probably won't get carried a lot as I like my commander sized guns much better for that. I am trading some reloading equipment for 350 rounds of 10mm today so I might get to shoot it this week. I also have 2000 rounds of 10mm brass on order from Starline. Any recommendations on which powder to use would be great. I will start loading 180 grain XTP's and some 155 XTP's as well.

Best Powder I have found for 10mm is AA#9 for 180 and 200 grain XTPs and AA#7 for 155s. The powder meters very well.
I use them in a Delta and an S&W 1006 and 610. For mouse fart loads I use 175 grain LSWCs or 135 grain LRN and Win 231.

My those 610 are beautiful guns, my dream gun if timing of funds and availability ever meet, but my glocks will do nicely for now, I'm glad to see the popularity of the 10mm picking up, and for me since I can't reload in my present apt, underwood is all I buy although I would love some Winchester 175g silver tips I can't find them anyplace.

Thanks RGPM1A for the powder/bullet info.

I'm plan to load my once fired 10 brass.
I'm going to shoot my G 20 for the first time Tuesday. The owners booklet recommends 200 rounds for break in.
I also have a Dan Wesson 1911 10mm Match. It is very accurate and fun to shoot. I was able to buy a 40 S&W barrel from DW. It was a drop in install and feeds the 40 cal reliably from the 10mm mag. I use it when 10mm ammo gets scarce.
